I've been thinking about it, and if Blizzard actually had a rule that disallowed political talk I would 100% be on board with this guy losing his prize money. It would still be a bad thing for blizzard to do, and I would be outraged, but like the normal corporate outrage level of outrage. The truth is he took that risk to do something he believed in and dealt with the consequences.

But the "rule" that blizzard is citing is that people can't say anything that would "hurt their brand" which makes this situation ten times more disgusting to me, because in this instance blizzard is actively saying the support of basic civil rights is "hurting their brand" People claiming that it's Blizzard's right to be apolitical are absolutely right, but that's not what they're doing in this particular situation.

xenoblade x is a flawed game but it probably has the best story in gaming, which is impressive because every single main character is as interesting as shoe dirt, and every cutscene makes me want to rip out my brain. I would love to replay that game with the online features removed, and characters from all the cool races became playable. Also tatsu dies early game.

you can do that, but it's much much more inefficient based on how hard skill points for byleth are to come by (since he doesn't instruct himself) so really those are just for recruiting maybe one student on the current path you're on

at b rank typically a student will ask to join your house in a cutscene in the middle of a month, I say typically because some people have said it doesn't always work (but it's worked 100% of the time with me on all my playthroughs)

don't forget to give bernadetta lots of pitcher plants and armored bear stuffys to get her to join your team.You can also have her follow you on missions to rack up heart points (at support level b, other characters will ask to join your house)

make her an assassin so you get lethality bernie on all new game pluses

Blue lions is a good one to start with, although you'll beat the game understand literally nothing about any of the game's mysteries or motivations.

Early on this game felt way too easy, but the late game has been a pretty substantial and welcome step up in difficulty

Yeah right at the trailer battle, I went from basically using my units as a lawnmower through the stages to actually using things like battalions/divine pulse/creator sword (which I had ignored in favor of an iron axe the entire game prior)

It was the perfect level of matching the amount of broken I was with the amount of broken the game was. There were times when I legit wasn't sure if it was even possible to win with my current team so getting through with no casualties was pretty rewarding.

So far my biggest complaints:

Monastery sucks, it's kinda cool that you can level up supports a lot quicker in this game compared to others, but just from battling alone I have most units up to max pre-timeskip support. Finding lost items was kind of cool at first but there are just too many characters with too many personality traits I don't care about. There is kind of a "TitS" feel to the environment but since the characters are already fleshed out enough through the rest of the game, their NPC conversations are usually not something I'm interested in. It's also way to big, and not interesting to explore.

I didn't realize how easy it would be to become overpowered in the game, levels go up way too fast, and mastering classes goes pretty slow, so by the time you've mastered a class, you probably won't get any stat boosts from a promotion. (So I guess the best strategy is promote, then return to your old class)

Now I'm at the point where I skip most monthly activities except paralogues and training very specific stats for students toward their end goal, and I like that pace a lot better, I think I'll enjoy the second playthrough more knowing how much I can safely skip.

Despite all that, I'm enjoying the game a lot. I like all the characters, to the point where it's legit hard to pick units for a battle because they're all so great.

10 years at mcdonalds and it's pretty close.

As it is, it's a pretty big pay cut, but washington minimum wage is still livable with my mortgage, plus I'm getting a crap ton of extra hours a week that I can work on personal projects, and further my education at a faster clip than I currently am.

Yeah but third-party controllers don't have motion, and it'd be a little s***ty to make a Pokemon you can't get because you have the wrong controller, especially when many of those controllers carry official Nintendo branding (all the wired controllers with character-based designs by PowerA, for example).

Not using your phone alarm is a really good technique to get over internet addiction. That morning snooze & browse void is really bad. By using a standalone alarm, your desire to check your phone will make you get up from your bed, which solves both snooze & browse problems.

the problem is using my phone for 5 minutes wakes me up, not using my phone puts me right back to sleep.

I use Facebook everyday since I have a lot of time on my hands, but I've never felt "depressed" by using it, although I've heard about that pretty often. Can you explain your case, Santa?

It's really honestly hard to explain because what happens is so ineffable, the one thing I can relate it too is if you eat junk food every day you don't think you feel sick from it, but then you stop and you all of the sudden realize all the ways your body/brain feels so much better.

Like I can attribute it to something like FOMO or people's inherit urge to misrepresent themselves but I feel like it misses the mark. It just seems better

Silvally always bothered me, did they seriously have to make an entire new line of items instead of using plates, things that serve the literal exact same function? Megastones were also super obnoxious in their implementation and it always felt like they were creating more work for themselves for no reason
