One of the biggest issues with Pokemon has been the incredible amount of bloat with an incredible lack of polish. The biggest reason people want/expect Edelgard out of the four FETH leads is that her weapon of choice is an axe, and there are zero axe-weilders in Smash (one situational move notwithstanding).
