I object to the idea that WWE is trying to alienate anyone at this juncture. Ratings are in the toilet, the crowd and PPV buys for Stomping Grounds were a joke, and they drew 3500 total fans to RAW last night.

They don't need to worry about rah-rahing the loyalists right now. They'll always be there. They can't afford to drive literally any more people away.

It's not about them "always being there", it's about them being stirred-up, motivated. Attending and engaging more. I'd say it's WWE's way of drawing the line of division between them while not officially acknowledging any issue - make it look like a personal Rollins thing, not a company thing.

And I don't think Rollins' twitter spats are going to have any meaningful effect on television ratings.

Yeah, I don't care if he's just a WWE mouth piece or whatever, but he's just being a prick and frankly, I've lost a ton of respect for him, especially since he's a guy who grew on the indies and should get it more than most.

Like, he's acting like he's been disrespected because Will Ospreay said "Hey, I work hard too." Like, screw this guy. I barely even know Will Ospreay but I don't understand anyone taking Seth's side unless they're those crazy fanatic types. This is just an awful look for a guy.

So if you presume Rollins is being used as a WWE mouthpiece, would you say that if WWE were looking to alienate you, they have successfully done so? Or did they already do that a long time ago?

I don't buy that there is zero calculation to what is happening - and I certainly don't buy that if this is not WWE's doing, they wouldn't have told Rollins to stop by this point.

I feel like this Seth stuff is a work or at the very least he's being used by WWE as a puppet, because it's not just that he's being a d-bag, it's the lack of logic and the sophistry in what he's saying. Such as how he made it about money - his WWE money - with Will Ospreay, when that was not at issue.

Maybe they aren't trying to bring back the AEW crowd. I think they're trying to double-down on WWE loyalists. If you're a casual WWE (not wrestling, WWE) fan, AEW are the heels in this situation. If you're super devoted to WWE, AEW are the heels in this situation. It's kind of Trump-esque? Focussing on firing up the WWE "base" rather than appealing to the competition.

And there is an argument that if WWE would actively want to alienate, or at least would make no attempt to keep, any part of its fanbase, it's the part that naturally gravitates towards AEW. I would wager there's a decent correlation between AEW fans and people who, say, boo/booed Roman Reigns.

I dunno I just think there might be more to this than suddenly "Seth Rollins is a whiny little prick and completely illogical and stupid."

The most common complaint against the old flaming rule was that it was subjective how "severe" the flame was and inconsistent on how it was moderated. So in direct response to user feedback, they simplified the ruling. Now any name calling is treated equally regardless of what the insult is. No more debates about whether a flame was "bad enough" to be deleted. Again, this is what the users asked for and what they got.

Like it's been 15 years, how is that kind of post from Seph surprising in any way? Collective policy shift. Don't expect every single pokemon in a pokemon game in the future. Future games will have pokemon dependent on how they fit the adventure you meant to have.

I don't expect all Pokemon available and catchable in any one game, there are too many. I do expect to be able to bring through ones I've caught from older games and use them. I apparently can't do this?

Wasn't this basically an inevitability? Eventually, they were going to run into the issue where both the hardware got advanced enough that they wanted dozens of animations per Pokemon and the Pokedex begins to reach astronomical levels, and it just isn't feasible to keep both.

See again it just makes no fucking sense for the NK to even BE at the Battle of Winterfell with this knowledge.

Just overwhelm the living forces with wave after wave after wave of Wights and send in your WW generals.

NK wanted to personally kill the three-eyed raven because reasons. In fairness, he did make a big deal of making sure he personally killed Max Von Sydow in season 6. So there's some connection between NK and the Raven that they don't quite explain clearly beyond what Sam said about him being "memory" or whatever.

And in fairness, when NK did personally enter Winterfell, he'd just raised all the dead in and around the castle so all hope for the living was essentially lost.

Meh. Depressing without being heartbreaking because the game was so, so flat. Once Sissoko gave it to them, they played a back 6 at times. No way through. Rose was our only good player.

It is weird how non-heartbreaking that was. I expected to lose - they got 26 more points and beat us twice - and we did, in the most boring, clinical way possible. Better team goes 1-0 up, weathers "storm", seals it late is practically like a template.

The only thing that was unpredictable was how crap both teams were. The actual way the game played out was as standard as you'd expect. Shit, but not soul-destroying.
