I'm not slandering you by saying you like to chase people down semantic rabbit holes. You've been doing it for 15 years. You have 100% done this with Ulti in the past. I said nothing about "300 post long exchanges". If you dislike the way I approached your responses to Ulti, then I'm sorry, but let's not pretend my issues with you begin and end with how you deal with just Ulti. I have come after you for the way you handle multiple users - it's possible you're putting all those times under the Ulti banner.

And yes, again, me talking about Ulti via Discord, especially when he essentially never reads it, is completely different to directly engaging him in conversation on the board. Please either take back the bizarre notion that there is any kind of a double standard or explain it more clearly. Perhaps look at post 64?

I think you first need to acknowledge your unresolved issues with me and if you want to go further with them then take it to PM. This was a bad way of handling it, a desperate reach that attempted to conflate two very different things to "expose" me as being "just as bad as you" rather than simply telling me you think I treated you unfairly.

I was using never hyperbolically. He shows up there like twice a year tops. And he found that message because somebody else took a screenshot of it.

It's Ulti. I won't directly respond for reasons we've gone over hundreds of times.

For the record, the sequence of events is as follows: we were talking about the excess of mafia topics. I mentioned that I would put in a feedback ticket about it. Ulti knew about it because he replied in the Discord. Then he said in here that he'd put a ticket in. I sent one - literally one - message in the Discord commenting that I found this attempt to steal credit for something so small very petty. Now, with anyone else I might think it was innocuous, but it's Ulti, who has historically been somewhat prone to making things about himself.

I liked it

A bit like Iron Man 3 though in that when the villain character is "deliberately bad", it doesn't necessarily make the first half retrospectively better. Like I get what they were going for with Mandarin but his scenes pre-reveal were still too clich to enjoy even though it was deliberate, and I kiiiiiinda almost felt the same way with Mysterio, but maybe not as bad because unlike with Mandarin I knew it was coming.

All the Mysterio illusions and the final battle with the drones were visually outstanding and felt great. Holland is good, Gyllenhaal was really good (especially after the reveal), and I like MJ too.

I'm with him on that. I've never "gotten" Mario. Still don't. I have Odyssey on my Switch and it isn't grabbing me. And I think one of the reasons why is because I played Sonic as a kid and going to Mario after Sonic just felt like a step down.

Right. That post is better because you accept that you cared about things that most people just don't, though the faux-objectivity of "waning quality" is still pretty bad.

Again, your dislike for the games is not at issue, but your condescension of the fans is. It's word choices like "they've suddenly awoken to all the crappy things Game Freak has been doing at the fan's expense" or "fan who realizes that they've been lied to". That's the stuff I'm talking about when I say you're casting yourself as a "prophet". Like you were the one who was right all along, when really there's been a significant shift. There's a vindictive bitterness about it which, to me anyway, is kind of ugly to read.

Clearly the stuff you complain about, like the "Kantonian Gym", was not that big a deal to most people, while this is a much bigger deal to them. That does not mean they retrospectively agree with all your other criticisms, it means you were making mountains out of what they perceived to be a molehill, and this is just a mountain full stop.

Edit: Or yeah, what Waluigi said. Alolan Persian doesn't make your previous theories about their design of Pokemon correct, they're entirely different things, and Pokemon fans attacking Masuda now doesn't prove that they were myopic before.
