Yes! It's like having a new perspective on an art piece.

It says a lot about the game that we can have a multi-page argument about ME3's ending 6+ years after it was released.

You can engineer a situation in ME2 where you can bring Legion on Tali's loyalty mission and it's one of the funniest things I've done in that game.

ME3's multiplayer was like the golden age for microtransactions. It was super liberal in giving you packs. Not that you ever really needed them.

I had to look it up. Without MP your galactic readiness will stay at 50%. What this means is your war score total is cut in half. Before the Extended Cut, to get the 'best' ending, you needed at least 4000 score, or effectively 8000 because of readiness. According to the wiki, the highest obtainable score was about 7500 thanks to mutually exclusive choices. DLC added a bunch of assets, and the Extended Cut lowered the threshold to 3100, making it much easier to reach in basically any scenario.

I remember a long forum post from somewhere that detailed every possible asset combo that confirmed that you couldn't hit the best threshold without MP.

They patched it so that you don't need to play multiplayer to get the best ending now. You absolutely did at launch, but for many that was not much of a barrier because multiplayer was goddamn awesome.

My most ever AMP was like 100 so I'll never get as high as my karma.

The best irony of ME3 is that if you go too Renegade you basically become Saren and iirc no one calls you on it.

It's weird how everyone always complains about the ending, but never really says what exactly it is.
I mean, I guess it works for me since I've yet to play this series but it's odd how respectful everyone is about not spoiling the ending.

I'll boil down the problem, spoiler free: At the end of the game, regardless of any decisions you made before that point, you are presented with 3 choices, and with the free dlc, a fourth. Imo all except one (Destroy) are extremely lame and go against Shepard's character.

The Control ending has a lot of implications that I do not like. "Don't worry, I'll control the Reapers. Promise." The day will come where ReaperShep and the galaxy no longer see eye to eye. Better to get rid of them entirely.

Arguing is fun as hell. Also many people have a pathological need to both validate their own beliefs and invalidate other's.

I went to a sketchy dealer one time to look at Honda Civics. I tell the salesman what I'm looking for. Salesman says "I've got a car I think you'll like." Haven't done it myself, but everyone I know who has was thrown out during jury selection.
