This. Nothing more awkward than asking a coworker out, them saying no, and then having to work with them after. Even if you're the type who doesn't get discouraged from being turned down and it doesn't stop you from seeing her as a friend - she'll still act different towards you.

I've asked out a handful of coworkers and they'd all act weird around me even if I started dating someone else not even a week after being turned down by them..
