That "2 MB limit" mentioned on that site is the only worrisome thing IMO. That's way too small of a limit to be used for gifs without making them tiny or crappy quality. Besides that, I don't see any issues, so if you can get around that and set a more reasonable file size limit (like 6 or 8 MB) then it should be good.

I do like the idea that Echoes can be used to basically replace the special move customization from Smash 4. I mean, it takes resources to make a character model, but if you don't really have to do much work to balance them, then you can go freaking nuts with who you bring in.

That's mostly what you get them from. You can also get them from log-in bonuses, weekly missions, and certain logistics missions too. As Cookie said, you get back 3 of the 4 contracts used for that daily mission, so it's easy to build up a supply of them if you get them fairly regularly through the other methods. Note that doing a heavy production doesn't count for the normal daily contract for productions, and instead has it own separate weekly mission of 1 heavy per week.

Do you mean "won't be touching it now" as in "I won't touch it now, I'll wait until later so I can build up more resources" or "I won't touch it at all now that I know more about it", because if you mean the latter, that's probably not the best thing to think. I would recommend at least getting Type97 from the free reward for doing 10 of them, and if you get a better shotgun in the process, that's good too. Shotguns are so useful as tanks in this game, especially if you pair them with MG's for the tile buffs.

Use 6k/2k/6k/4k for shotguns, and the minimum 1k/1k/1k/1k for Thompson, HK416, and G11. For anything else, it's not worth using it over the normal crafting method. Heavy Production is the only way to get Shotguns, and it's also a better way to try and get Thompson, HK416, and G11 since it filters out a lot more dolls from the possible crafting pool. Doing 10 Heavy Productions completes the achievement and gets you a free (one time only, don't dismantle her) Type97 shotgun.

GFL is notoriously easier on free players than other games, the gap between free players and paying players is much smaller than in other games. Plus it's more annoying to try and whale through it with money since you have to buy T-doll contracts and quick production contracts and four different kinds of resources, rather than just buying one single item (quartz, orbs, etc.) used for summoning. Apparently, Japanese players don't like this.

Those aren't handed out at the beginning because you don't need them, and even if you get lucky and get some that early, using too many of them is impractical because of the cores needed to dummy link them. A 2-star that's 3x dummied will be more useful than a 5-star that you can't dummy link at all because you're in Core Hell.

I made it to the halfway point (24/48 episodes) of Smile Precure today. The major mid-season battle was awesome, and the villains are just as fun characters as the Precure themselves. Unfortunately, since there's pretty much no way I'll finish the season before my next semester of classes starts (which will severely limit my time available to watch anime) in a couple of weeks, I'll be putting the series on hold for the foreseeable future. I'll probably pick it up again during thanksgiving or winter break. My next objective is to hopefully finish ViVid Strike by the end of the summer, and since it's only 13 episodes, that's a much more manageable task.

But before I take myself away from Smile Precure though... how does Miyuki not have severe brain damage from all of the times she gets hit or lands on her head? Or at least several concussions? Seriously, her brain must be seriously scrambled from all of this.

Read up on the importance of making an alt; I've been autoplaying here at the office for maybe ~4 hours on a new alt and I've gotten SO much more armor powder for my main, which I've been low on for a while.

It's crazy how they just throw that shit at you during the quests. But my main is level 98 and the quests run dry around then, so getting more powder is hard.

You can move stuff between characters that easily? Nice. My first character is only level 42 right now, and I do have a second character (I made it quickly to make absolutely sure I got the character name I wanted) but I haven't played on it.

That is...very odd. Because in FGO the players in general know that a lot of cheap/low rarity Servants are super good. Like Hans (2 star) or Arash (1 star) are waaaay better than Saber Artoria or MHX (both 5 stars).

I've never played FGO myself, so I'm just going by what I've heard. And what I've heard has included people dropping tens, hundreds, even thousands of dollars on an event to get a certain max rarity character and not settling for anything else. Can't do that in GFL, and it's pointless to do so.

GFL was released in Japan, and... well... the server would be on fucking fire if the flames weren't being contained by the massive amount of salt coming from the players.

Japanese gacha players coming from games like Fate Grand Order and Granblue Fantasy are pissed off that they can't do "normal gacha things" like uninstalling and reinstalling the game dozens of times at the beginning of the game to get the highest rarity T-dolls (that they automatically assume are the best units because they're the highest rarity) using the initial resources you're given, and whaling with hundreds of dollars to instantly do a fuckton of crafts (limited by the crafting timers) or instantly upgrading your dolls (limited by acquisition of cores) to get shit done without waiting. Basically, some of them are actually pissed off that the game isn't pay-to-win.

On top of that, all of their online tier lists are either blind to what the T-dolls actually do and just assigning tiers by their rarity OR they're blatantly plagiarized from the CN tier lists that include a bunch of features that the JP server doesn't even have yet. Then the players who still spend their money getting the highest rarity dolls (again, assuming they're the best no matter what) end up in Core Hell with weaker high rarity dolls like NTW-20 and get frustrated that their team is too weak and they don't have the cores to make them stronger. Their lack of research is completely screwing them up, and now they're bombing GFL like crazy with negative reviews.

In summary: every single thing the JP players are complaining about is directly caused by them carrying over their predetermined expectations from other mobile games, making wildly incorrect assumptions based on those, and not looking at the communities the game has in other countries to learn about the game before jumping in. They brought this upon themselves, so let's laugh at them. Thank you for reading, and here's a cute pic of FAL for your time.
