Runescape - introduced me to online gaming, learned how to type, learned a lot about communication and oddly enough--stuff about the real world. Made friends along the way (which I no longer talk to, but still..)

IGN - video game news and I discussed and learned a LOT of stuff from the boards

DeviantArt - got me into art sites, I no longer use it very much but still.

Reddit - it's been my most visited since increasingly since 2014. It's kind of hard to sum up the experience, but it's kind of a mish-mash of all the things I enjoy viewing, reading and discussing on the internet.

GameFAQs - made lots of friends, and became my #1 place to discuss video games overtime. Still is. My Souls-playing experience was definitely improved because of this site.

Moderators here are highly inconsistent. One one hand, they're sluggish in response, barely enforce their own rules (especially about trolling) and often highly non-existent. Other times, they'll send you moderation notices about some of the stupidest little things (that you'd expect not to get in trouble over) and then occasionally doing a good job.

This isn't me, it's a guy I met on Discord that claimed this. He posted a screenshot of his TV in his room and there was a Confederate flag that was hoisted or plastered on a wall and I was frankly disturbed about this because I knew him for months.

I'm not even American, or of white ancestry.

Update #1: 598 words so far. The hard part is finding the right sources. I have a bunch, but it's a bit difficult to bend it to fit my subject and I have to sift through a lot of fluff. There is one physical book that is dead on right about my subject matter but I can't afford to waste my time going to one of the campus libraries that's like well over an hour away by bus. I will really have to milk my analysis with what I got.

The assignment calls for 10 pages, but 9 pages is fine according to the professor, so roughly 2500 words is enough for me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinelese

The Sentinelese, also known as the Sentineli and the North Sentinel Islanders, are a pre-Neolithic indigenous people who inhabit North Sentinel Island, located in the Bay of Bengal in India.[3][4] As North Sentinel Island is part of the Andaman Islands, the Sentinelese are considered to be one of the Andamanese peoples. They are designated as a Scheduled Tribe.[5]

An uncontacted people, the group, estimated to be composed of anywhere from 40 to 500 individuals, is believed to have lived on North Sentinel Island for as long as 55,000 years and speaks the Sentinelese language, a language isolate not related to the native languages found on the surrounding islands.[6][7][8] Indian authorities have put in place laws that prohibit any individual being closer than 3 miles (4.8 km) to the island, for both the safety of outsiders, as the Sentinelese are known to be hostile, and the Sentinelese themselves. Being an isolated group, they likely do not possess the genetic immunity to survive exposure to common viruses, such as influenza and measles.[6][9] Because of their self-governing nature, India treats North Sentinel Island and its inhabitants as a sovereign state.[10]

Unlike other ethnic groups found in the Andamanese Islands, who were more welcoming to outsiders and now interact with them somewhat regularly, the Sentinelese appear to have consistently refused any interaction with the outside world.[11][12]

Ability. I'd know the outcome if I could get away with robbing banks or casinos and make all the money I want. Same with scratch off tickets, if I knew which one I could buy that would hit the jackpot I could make a living of just going store to store and buying winners until i'm set for life.

Yeah but you'd actually put the work to all things you do (like banks). Plus the Butterfly effect might have some adverse effects you could never predict so you may have to look really far through the possible outcomes.

With the lottery ticket, you have to physically walk to the right place before you knew which one was ultimately going to give you the ticket. That still doesn't guarantee if "fate" wants you to ever land the right ticket though.

This fucking topic again?

The utilitarian principle, people! The baby toddler has the highest maximum capacity to do future good deeds and by being saved by a fire, he'll always be indebted to you. Selflessness as a principle will be instilled upon him as a youngin' and that will bring greater assurance of his future worth. All dogs must live a short life, and die long before you ever do. Just say "thank you" to the dog for all the good memories and say adieu--then save the baby toddler. If the toddler dies, the trauma and grief of losing a child will bring you down and the entire family that baby was related to.

Only the master can truly feel the loss of his own dog.
