Gheb 12/04/18 4:22:30 PM #34:	The Confederate Flag was so deeply twisted up in Southern culture for so long, that I do find it believable that there are people in the South who do largely separate the flag from the meaning behind the Civil War itself. I mean look at shit like the Dukes of Hazzard. The car is named the General Lee and it has a big Confederate Flag on it, but there was no deeper connection to the Civil War in either direction. The car did not represent states rights and it didn't represent slavery. It was just part of the Southern imagery.
