Next day you leave the house and get run over by a car. Shouldn't have left the house!

The ability if used wisely can maximize your safety, health, happiness around you, wealth, extremely useful in any career etc. the potential is limitless, but you have to put the work into it.

$1 billion is pretty nice though.

Ability.
I make a sports bet (it's legal where I live) and I'll know if I didn't make a good choice.
Equals infinite money, easy as that.

Money. Even after paying taxes on it would be a boatload for me.

I lived without that ability for this long, I don't need it.

Money. I could probably make more with the ability over time. But I'd be perfectly fine with that amount of money.

To that effect it would require you to constantly use your future-sight for every possible situation, giving you constant omnipotence of your actions extending to the edge of the Universe at the speed of causality. Your brain would have to absorb an incomprehensible amount of information, and your psyche would need to confront how nightmarishly insignificant you are to the impossible scale of the Universe. This is the kind of thing H.P. Lovecraft would write about destroying a man.

You can turn it off when you want.

Then the ability I guess as even if I go mad I could set my family up well with it more than the billion.

Just move to a place where you can gamble and take modest winnings from various casinos for a long time.

Why though, it would take you years to get a billion through this method, if the casino's didn't cut you off beforehand, and even then, you have to uproot your whole life to move to vegas or somewhere similar.

So 1 billion divided by 1825 (5 years) is $547945, you'd have to earn over five hundred thousand dollars a day every day for 5 years to reach a billion, you'd get banned from casinos after 1 week if not sooner. Not that you'd want to spend every day for 5 years gambling. Even longer when you consider you'd have to pay tax on the winnings.

Or, with perfect foresight, the gambling and stock market, you could likely make more than that inside of the five years.

Didnt Oprah make like $700 million in two days on the stock market?

Something like that. Problem is being accused of insider trading if you do something too good out of the blue.
