If you feel overly saturated by open world action games, that's because you play too many of them. In other words, it's a you problem.

Branch out. Play different genres.

I haven't played a huge open world game like this since GTA5.

Ads on tv and other platforms probably won't drop until the day it comes out, or maybe a couple days before. The purpose of those ads is to reach an audience that aren't already aware of it, and that group isn't going to wait around for a week to buy something. It has to be "available now".

They don't need to target ads at people who are already aware of it, as those people willingly seek their commercials and other trailers out on their own.

Yeah, it seems to be more like a copyright issue as opposed to theft. I could probably be swayed to agree that such acts of piracy would fall completely on the civil side of things.

I got burned out a long time ago, but I'm playing it again because my five year old is really into watching me play. I was about to lose it when I took the initiative and downloaded some DLC. The Norse Mythology one. Completely breathed new life into the game.

Just today, I finally made my way to a giant house up on top of a giant tree in the middle of the map. This place is like Valhalla. Anyway, long story short, I accidentally set it on fire. No big deal, I'm sure it'll go out on its own, it's just a little bit of lava. Head back to my base and rest up. Make my way up to a nearby mountain the next morning and I see a huge portion of it is on fire. Yikes. Head over there and do my best to keep it from spreading, but it's futile. Make my way up on to the roof and get over to the great hall where the initial uh-oh happened, and stop the lava at its source. Divert some water, and finally it's all out. So, I almost burned down Valhalla. Just another day in Minecraft.

Right on. It's amazing how Rivers in the Desert is saved for the final battle. Man, that battle was incredible. Everybody had a chance to shine. So many close calls. Had to pull out all the stops. All with that amazing song playing for a solid hour.

It's so impactful because know whenever I hear that song it brings all of those emotions back. The perfect capstone to the game.

Taking the lump sum and taxes are going to bone the equation.

It's such a bizarre attention seeking behavior. It's especially odd because you know none of them are actually leaving.

Now if someone was rolling around boards of games that nobody ever looked at distributing these things in a way that is unlikely to go undetected, it would almost seem clever. As it is, they are just doing a futile and stupid gesture.

I almost pity them. They must have such a strange, jaded and small view of the world.

That being said, not all places are like this. In my personal and very limited experience, for profit places can be rough. The childcare place I use is in a church, and the people who work there don't need to work there, they want to work there. That is no small thing.

totally agree.

Honestly, it should be viewed as a much less serious form of Swatting. There should be the threat of jail time for knowingly or even ignorantly calling the cops on people for petty reasons.

That's a dangerous game. You'll end up having a lot of people not reporting things they find suspicious because they don't want any legal trouble. This is definitely an issue, but legal repercussions for reporting things isn't the answer.

I'm in the same boat. It pisses me off that they're doing this. "Let's make a full game to release as a super edition and then cut content out to make a cheaper version!" Except, the extra content is already made. They don't want to charge more then the standard video game price (SVP), so they pull this bullshit to try and milk a little bit more out of their fans.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for companies trying to make more for their work, but give them something MORE. Reward the behavior of going special edition instead of punishing those who go standard. Although, I can see how that is significantly more difficult now that physical versions of games are becoming less prevalent.

I'll need to look at what the bonuses are again. See if it's worth it. One thing that annoys me in particular is giving advantages. I might be in the minority, but I like when my character is scraping to get by. It seems like for me, getting myself to the point where I'm comfortable and fine is when I lose interest in a game.

I had so much fun in the early days of GTA online. Boosting cars, holding up convenience stores, saving every dollar until I could get a shitty apartment. Then they dropped a crap ton of cash on everyone to make up for all the people who were cheating, and I was done.

Depends on the decorations. Halloween decorations are really on a spectrum.
