Well, there goes the most nostalgic opening of anything in the world. I was hoping you'd mention how Charizard uses flamethrower and Blastoise uses hydro pump, but Venusaur just stands around and does nothing. It's one of my favorite parts.

Post a character picture and I will rate based purely on the clothing, stance, face, etc. My projection of the character will probably be completely unlike what the character is actually like.

However, there's a gimmick. I will only do this for characters I'm unfamiliar with. If you post someone I already know, I'll refuse to rate him or her. So don't even bother with anything from a really popular work like Star Wars or Final Fantasy unless you can dredge up something so obscure that even a turbonerd like me won't recognize it.

Why exactly is Geno more likely than Sora? I dont follow Smash news or anything, but I wouldnt think a character who was in 1 20+ year old game had a better shot than the hero of Squares next big game who has all kinds of crazy attack potential to pick from

Sakurai has clearly been mining fan requested characters for choices. After Ridley, Simon, and King K. Rool, Geno is one of the biggest requests.

Also if they were going to add a Pokemon fighter that we didn't expect, it also hurts a ton that it's not literally anything else.

Like give us Hawlucha or something cool like that. I'm sure as hell he's more popular than Gothitelle and would also surprise a ton of people at the same time.

I suppose that's a valid concern. You are correct in that it's easy to think of more interesting new pokemon, but Gothitelle would be in specifically because it'd be easy to clone from Gardevoir (assuming the leak is true).

Honestly, I'd rather have Raichu and finally complete that playground rumor from back in the day.

I'm a huge Pokemon fan and even I don't think we should be getting that many Pokemon tbh, 1 new one (Incineroar out of the rumored plz) would be perfectly fine and then do more characters from other series'

Smash 64: Pikachu, Jigglypuff
Melee: Mewtwo, Pichu
Brawl: Lucario, Pokemon Trainer
Smash 4: Greninja, Charizard (who was introduced as if it was a new character with a pun and everything)
Every game has introduced two new pokemon. You can argue that Smash 4 doesn't count, but the point is that there's plenty of precedence to add multiples.

Gothitelle is actually the prospect Im most excited for. Im so over these popular characters being the go to. I miss the days of smash in the 64 version and melee where I didnt know half the characters and it felt cool playing as them.

If Sakurai really is going for fan favorites, that won't happen again this time.

Not that it's a real leak, but Gardevoir/Gothitelle would give you a rep from gen 3 and 5, which otherwise have nothing. Then you could add a gen 6 and 7 rep via DLC?
