That's beyond just the fact that diversity breeds diversity. Revoked means you actually had it taken away from you, rather than you giving it up. Secondly, the process to reinstate someone's clearance is very lengthy. The whole idea of leaving someone's clearance open is that even though they don't have day to day access to materials, it doesn't require a re-investigation to get back in the door (until it actually expires). --- |

But it's also true of most conservative comedy that it just isn't successful anyway. The Daily Show was huge during the time period where conservatives cried the most about it. SNL (which isn't really "liberal" comedy, even if the writers have a liberal slant) is still going as strongly as it has for years. Etc. I'm not even necessarily saying that I find those programs funny. Just that there are enough people who do. Which is more than can be said about 1/2 Hour News Hour, Red Eye, or any of the other incarnations of conservative comedy show. --- |
