You have to be a REALLY good worker AND have a fair boss to get big upgrades in pay while staying at one company throughout. Most people do it by playing the interview circuit. Its another layer of the game. It does work but you have to be willing to move around.

This is true, unless you get promotions. But depending on what level you start at or what type of position you're in, there's sometimes not much room for advancement.

Yes, you read that right: in English.

"The incident happened on Wednesday night, when Alexandria Montgomery was trying to place an order in English at a Taco Bell drive thru window at 785 East Ninth St. The employee refused to take her order because she wasnt speaking Spanish."

Can you move please? I have an order behind you. There is no one who speaks English, the woman tells Montgomery in the video and threatens to call the police.

This is Hialeah, Im sorry, she said in Spanish."

"STOCKHOLM (AFP) -
The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, said Wednesday that "Europe belongs to the Europeans" and that refugees should return to their native countries to rebuild them.

Speaking at a conference in Sweden's third-largest city of Malmo, home to a large immigrant population, the Dalai Lama -- who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 -- said Europe was "morally responsible" for helping "a refugee really facing danger against their life".

"Receive them, help them, educate them... but ultimately they should develop their own country," said the 83-year-old Tibetan who fled the capital Lhasa in fear of his life after China poured troops into the region to crush an uprising.

"I think Europe belongs to the Europeans," he said, adding they should make clear to refugees that "they ultimately should rebuild their own country".

Jeffrey S. Buchanan, Top General, from 1982 to present defends Trump a long with Puerto Rico's governor.

I'd like someone to tell me what, specifically, Trump did wrong. Besides the BS "he threw paper towels" (the crowd loved him there, by the way).

Trump on Thursday during a White House meeting with Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello, rated the U.S. relief effort a "10" and lauded the speed of the operation.

Buchanan---

"It's hard to mass resources when you're dependent on sealift and airlift to get anything here. You can't just drive down the road like what happened in Florida and Irma,"

"You can compare whatever you want to," he says, "but Texas and Florida are two of our richest states."

Buchanan cites the ability of the Texas government, for example, to redirect state support from unaffected areas in its west, and for neighboring states that were less affected like Louisiana to send support.

"There's no Louisiana for Puerto Rico," he says, "so the very first thing we had to do was open up the seaports and the airports. Until we got that done, we couldn't even get federal military help here. It's a completely different situation."

"Trump also has noted that Puerto Rico's decaying infrastructure contributed to the difficulties in restoring utilities, and Buchanan acknowledged that the initial devastation has now given way to a new round of emergencies plaguing the crippled island."

Another thing I do not understand is that apartment buildings typically have numbers on the doors to the individual units. Large numbers, so people can see them easily. Did this apartment complex not have numbers on the doors?

Assuming that the doors did have numbers on them, they would have been practically impossible to miss regardless of the lighting. They also could not possibly have been the same.

So, it's true that apartments generally have numbers on the door, but I doubt anyone actually looks at it every single time they go into their apartment. I know I don't. The other thing here is that apparently their apartment complex is one of those with an elevator and where basically every floor looks the same. So for example, if she's used to walking out the elevator and going 3 doors down, then she might do that on the wrong floor easily.

What I don't get is how she didn't take notice of the mat outside his apartment. That should have been clue number 1 that she was at the wrong place.

Damn.. yeah I can see in that scenario how she just gets off on the wrong floor and walks to exactly what she's familiar with.

I dont know what should happen to her because of this. Horrible situation

What reason is there to still believe this White House when it comes to things that make them look bad? If your standard operating procedure is deny until there's too much evidence to continue to deny, why should you take the opening denial salvo as fact as an average person?

When you have anonymous sources and multiple people vehemently denying that they said those things, it's definitely something to take note of. What are these sources' motives? Are they credible sources? Who are they, even? Are they even actual people? Will the sources ever be revealed? Are there any records? Any evidence? The answer is likely no to most or all of these questions.

Out of everyone in this group I would trust Mattis the most. Some claims in this book are ridiculously out of this world.

Mattis: "Mattis said Tuesday in a statement: "The contemptuous words about the President attributed to me in Woodward's book were never uttered by me or in my presence."

The book recounts that Mattis told "close associates that the president acted like and had the understanding of 'a fifth- or sixth-grader.'"

Mattis says in the statement: "While I generally enjoy reading fiction, this is a uniquely Washington brand of literature, and his anonymous sources do not lend credibility."

Mattis says the notion that he would "show contempt" for Trump or "tolerate disrespect" to the office of the President of the United States "is a product of someone's rich imagination."

Kelly:"Kelly says, "The idea I ever called the president an idiot is not true."

In a separate statement, the White House is dismissing the book as "nothing more than fabricated stories."

Dowd (currently not even working for Trump): "In a statement issued Tuesday, Dowd says, "There was no so-called 'practice session' or 're-enactment' of a mock interview at the Special Counsel's office."

He adds: "Further, I did not refer to the President as a "liar" and did not say that he was likely to end up in an 'orange jump suit.'"

The outrage Trump receives is just nuts.

Our economy is soaring, our GDP is high, unemployment rate is low and most people are benefiting from tax cuts. Even people who are working basic hourly jobs are still receiving several hundred extra each year. More than any Democrat would have ever given them, no question about it.

Even if you say Trump didn't do anything at all to help the economy, stock market or unemployment rate, it's still going up and not down. What do people want? A vertical line straight in the air for all charts tracking our economic aspects of prosperity?

The only thing people have to complain about Trump is that he's cracking down on issues liberals think are "humanitarian".

Trump has done nothing objectively seriously wrong.
