Actually, to clarify myself, the characters have to be in Roman numerals and Latin Script (the alphabet) in addition to whatever else is used.

Twain and Harper Lee were writing about the world they lived in and the language used, not endorsing the racism behind the "n-word". People who read with understanding know this. Sad they banned Twain. He was an American treasure.

H.P. Lovecraft used the word differently and it's clear he was a racist but even he has stuff worth reading.
