I sort of wonder if I would have been right about Gumshoe > Maya if this were counted by number of text boxes as opposed to number of lines, which is what I was thinking before this started - so like, Gumshoe's long case explanations would be multiple lines, not just one. That was a big part of my calculus. Now that I look at how many lines Maya gets from being the assistant I'm kind of surprised Gumshoe is this close!

I am like, 95% confident Apollo will overtake Maya. He has 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 5-2, 6-2, and 6-5 as the playable character, 5-3 as the assistant, a major role in 5-4 and 5-5, and a minor role in 5-1 and 5-6. This is more than enough, especially since 6-5 is basically two cases. Apollo 6-5 is going to rank #1 in line count EASILY.

Maya does have 6-6 as an assistant and a substantial number of lines in 6-3 as well as a tiny bit of 6-5, but I don't think it's enough when Apollo is the main character in effectively 8 cases and his 5-3 will eat Maya's 6-6 anyway.

I would be really interested in doing this - I read all of season 4's games and I know MU's community fairly well now, so I think I would be able to do well.

I honestly side with Seph on this one. As many things are there are to dislike about Sessions, things with the Mueller investigation could be a LOT worse if Sessions were to simply cede to Trump's demands.

Is he a PoS for other reasons? Sure. But we can also give some credit when it is in fact due.

I don't really know how this makes things better or worse for me, I WANT Trump to turn the investigation into as much of a dumpster fire as possible, Sessions trying to keep him from shooting himself in the foot I have no reason to commend him for

E1-5 is seriously underrated

it has some real problems - I particularly hate the segment where they go outside and figure out the trick with the lights because it serves NO purpose and doesn't connect to the rest of the crime in any way - but there's a lot of cool shit in it

I don't even think the Alba confrontation is that bad although it is pretty comical how many times he tries to leave. And the drop of blood on the japanese flag is probably the most amazing coincidence in the series ever and that's saying a *lot*. but I still think it's fine

I like how Lang goes along with the whole theme of like, a rival who's suited for out-of-court confrontations. Edgeworth's outside of the court and in the wild and that's Lang's territory and I think they do a good job of establishing that.

pretending to accuse Franziska to get permission from Alba to examine the crime scene is one of the most baller moves in the series, it's legit like one of my fave moments

I don't see how that's a contradiction, Shih-na obviously didn't tell him about her past, so he didn't know.

I was like, 11? when I saw the first Pokemon movie, and even back then I knew it was hilariously bad. I still loved it and enjoyed it because I loved Pokemon and seeing it in movie theaters was super exciting, but I knew the movie wasn't good.

I'm surprised it's as high as 14% - it's both not a very good movie, and it's also something that no critic is going to "get"

E1-5 Beginning is pretty good, too, actually. The crime scene on the Babahl side is pretty great, and the cross-examinations with Shih-na are really solid.

pretty sure the Middle section is where all the Larry and Oldbag stuff happens which is the real painful part of E1-5

That section is fucking great though, one of the funniest investigation segments in the series imo

Also it just occurred to me that Franziska has more lines in AAI1 than any other game. Weird.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gumshoe drops to fourth, but I can't remember if he or Franziska is more prevalent in E1-5.

By the way, it is worth repeating that E1-5 is my favorite Franziska appearance in the series. Underrated.

I'm pretty sure E1-1 has fewer principal characters than any other case in the series, by a pretty wide margin too

E1-1's twist that there were two visitors to Edgeworth's office is one of the more underrated tricks in the series imo, it's simple but really effective

Presenting Lauren with the photo of the body is probably my favorite investigation present in the series

I mean overall E1-2 is still one of my least favorite cases - but I think the last segment, everything from the part where Leblanc falls down to the Meele confrontation, has pretty good kick to it. Really like the last contradiction with the Borginian cloth, very clever.

I really like the confrontation with Cammy Meele in E1-2 - it's short but sweet

Yeah, E1-2 was the only case I could have seen being the record holder for percentage, and it was. I think it's going to stay that way, no other case can compete, I'm pretty sure.
