She's like "yeah that was the only thing I could think of too, cool water. I told her that and to hang up and call a doctor." Apparently some kid related to her (I heard the name but no relation; maybe a granddaughter) spilled some noodles on herself and got burned pretty badly. About fifteen minutes pass and she gets a phone call. Over the phone and 40-ish feet away I can hear this girl screaming, still, at least fifteen minutes later. Now my coworker is leaving for the hospital. Sounds terrible, like she might be in the hospital for a while. I think I'm gonna go get some candy or something to give to the coworker to give to the patient. Maybe just put it on her desk with a note so she knows it's not a mistake. I wish I could do more. --- |
