In the recent Ferguson doc (might've been the Ferguson - Wenger rivalry doc), one of the Nevilles states that he and his brother were told by Ferguson to "kick Reyes back to Spain". You can easily find footage on YT of Reyes just being tackled every five seconds by a MU player. I can understand what you're saying in the Vieira argument, but I wouldn't pin Gary down as only "passionate".

I mean, England played two of the easiest teams in the tournament, threw and lost the game against Belgium, played Colombia without their most important player and played Sweden, a side they should also be expected to beat. You can diminish every team's performance that way.

Finally, I think our journey in the WC should instill a change in the way tournaments work. How sad is it that we had to face Japan, Brazil, and France to get to the final, because we did our job and beat England? Couldn't they change it in a way where the team that wins the group gets to decide the side of the bracket they end up on?

Varane and Umtiti were very good, but Lukaku also never really got a proper ball played to him. We had some good crosses with De Bruyne in the first 20 minutes, and then the first 10 minutes when Mertens came on. And that was it. And all on the right of course, because god forbid Our Lord and Savior Eden Hazard would ever play on the right and cross it in.

Shocking ref, boring French, hating my life. Dembele with an absolutely outstandingly bad performance. Would've been better off with anyone else there. Pavard weaker than Lucas Hernndez, yet every ball going across the right because ??? Need a goal in the final minutes? Take off Fellaini because ???

Absolutely rooting for the Croats now. The English will be insufferable if they win it and France winning would just usher in another era of boring counter-attacking defensive football.

Most of all, as sad as I am to say it, disappointed in the team. This was not the day for De Bruyne, Dembele and Chadli to have an off-day. Considering Hazard gave several interviews proclaiming he wanted to win the WC, I'm also somewhat disappointed at his overall output this WC.

At least Arsenal look to be on the up, so I have some positivity going forward.

Band camp season is about to pick up, so I need to find time to smash through Ant Man and then get started on AoS s3.

I'd advise watching one of the Netflix shows or Inhumans though. It'll be easier if you know there's some good stuff coming. If you're like most people, Inhumans and S1 of LC and IF and Defenders might be a slog to get through. If you're really planning on watching all of the MCU, I'd advise you to get through Inhumans or LC now.

Being well organised defensively and tactically is a part of football. We did everything we had to do better than Brazil did.

In the second half, we struggled with their substitutions and could no longer put any real pressure forwards, so they outplayed us in that half, but were still undone by their own weaknesses, like poor finishing and some sloppy defending.

Can we just knock out England and replace them with Japan? What an atrocious games, from two very poor sides. MOTM for England was probably Carlos Sanchez with a great assist for Harry Kane. MOTM for Colombia was Uribe, the guy who actually managed to get them their 1st corner.

Carrasco was atrocious and has been pretty poor all tournament. The only reason we started a 3-4-3 was because we "couldn't" bench Hazard, Mertens, or Carrasco. He's gone off to China now and is just not a good fit for a wingback unless we're playing Panama, Cyprus or Gibraltar.

To be honest, I thought season 1 was mediocre leaning to bad up until the twist and it was a decently cool, but the execution of everything was still bad. Like Ward fighting all those guys at the hub while Skye was hiding in the closet looked like shit. I thought the plot overall ramped up but the show still wasn't very good... it was just okay. I always thought Ward was a bad actor from the beginning too, tbh

I had high hopes going into season 2 and I thought the premiere was a giant mess topped off with a *really* stupid scene at the end where Coulson does a voice over about how they had to take a risk and they could have failed that day, but they needed an edge, as it shows them steal the cloaking quinjet with May riding off on a motorcycle popping wheelies while guards shot at her. i thougt that scene was stupid as hell. I thought "oh god they havent improved at all, this scene is gonna suck too"

Then Simmons was undercover and Mockingbird showed up and Hunter turned out to be awesome and the Afterlife plotline began and I WAS ALL IN. I love season 2.

show just gets better and better from there.

Oh yeah, season 2 is definitely better than season 1, but I meant that I felt like the plotline of "real Shield" and "Inhuman village" could have carried a season on their own, yet they put both of them together in one.

Maybe I'm just in the minority but I walked away from JJ S1 thinking that it was "The Greatest Marvel Show Ever" (patent pending), and I walked away from JJ S2 thinking that it was like someone else wrote Jessica Jones and didn't get the show at all. But as long as it was enjoyed by someone, that's important.

That's funny, because I walked away from JJ S1 thinking that as well. I definitely wouldn't put S2 on that pedestal, but I never finished an episode unhappy. My only problem with the season is Trish's storyline, only because it made me dislike Trish, while she was the one companion from the Netflix shows (save Claire) that I really liked

But again, I don't want to get too deep into stuff Han hasn't seen yet.

JJ S2 was good. I'm at about episode 5 of Luke Cage S2 and I'm also enjoying it.

I also don't hate Defenders, although I do find it disappointing. I think everyone came into it expecting some kind of Avengers moment, and the show never really pulls that off.

Because this is a world cup. After the world cup, you go back to your club teams where maybe you play with one of those Brazilians you just humiliated 12 - 1. Maybe it's awkward. 7 - 1 in and of itself is an outrageous result that is no longer common in football. Pushing it further would have been not cool.
