You'll get a Mexican looking person generally, or something more like a half East Asian and half White person.

Monarchy is a gamble. Thomas Paine said it best: "One of the strongest natural proofs of the folly of hereditary right in kings, is, that nature disapproves it, otherwise, she would not so frequently turn it into ridicule by giving mankind an ass for a lion.

In other words, sometimes hereditary monarchy gives us either great monarchs or lousy ones.

Leftists will claim it's hatecrime, and try to be diplomatic with the aliens. Scientists will want to do weird sciency things with them. Right-wing folks will become highly nationalistic and try to carry out mass genocide.

I don't think there's ever going to be united human race even with an alien invasion, but who knows.

Yeah it could be this. Those breeds that need a lot of mental and physical stimulation like a Border Collie need like 3 hours of immense mental and physical stimulation like daily. Maybe if you give your dogs this they'll be too tired and won't seek shit to do INSIDE of your home.

Idk how it works, but your dogs sleep, eat and other things outside your home right? Like a backyard or something, or?

English is already a West Germanic language, the same as English; French is a Romance language. French is more widely spoken across the world and sounds a lot sexier to women...if you know that's the type of motivation you're after.

Eh, English being a West Germanic language is kind of irrelevant in the modern day given the overwhelming influence from Greek and Latin :\

Actually, you forgot to mention French influence (via the Normans and the French ruling elite in England) which is probably the best argument against what I claimed. French and Latin are the biggest influences to English, which is probably why it feels relatively alien to its West Germanic cousins.

In other words, French is more similar to English, than German is to English.

Either way, French sounds better when spoken than German so I'd personally go with that (aside from its usefulness in addition to having already been exposed to the language in grade school..being Canadian and all that).

Strangely, I'm most interested in learning Norwegian or Swedish.

I find it weird how Romance languages have at least a degree of mutual inteligibility, or how asian languages have similar written characters (e.g. chinese and japanese), but English is not truly that mutually intelligible with anything but a small, almost extinct dialect called Frisian.

Frisian is spoken by half a million people going by a Google search, that's still quite a lot of people.

But yeah, English as a language had been influenced by so many foreign languages that there isn't any major language quite like it.

Why does France get a bad rep for being cowards again?

Historical rivalry between the French and English that bled into a weird stereotype that, for some reason, became prominent in the US.

Historically, they actually have had some really impressive victories and where a major world power for many years. Ironically, this includes a substantial amount of men they devoted to the US War of Independence, with Lafayette being a particularly revered general even to this day.

It has more to do with how quickly they surrendered in WW2 nevermind they got fucking surprise attacked and had no fucking support from anyone else until it was too late.

That said they've had some logic defying victories in the 100 years war and with Napoleon Bonaparte.

Yeah, fair enough. Like you said, though, the defeat in WWII wasn't so much a quick surrender as it was having their throat slit before they could even start fighting. Hell, even the British soldiers in France were so overwhelmed that they tried to GTFO in a pretty panicked fashion.

It still doesn't make any sense as to why Americans dare to mock the French for cowardice. Lafayette and the French forces are arguably one of the strongest factors to American victory in the War for Independence.

Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Alexander Hamilton were all close friends of Lafayette, Washington particularly was a father figure to Lafayette. Lafayette is incredibly important to the founding of the Republic as well. Additionally, Lafayette's buried in France with American soil and flag over the grave of Lafayette.
