Ulti had asked me to spectate him while he played so I could see his luck first hand. And so with that invitation I, perhaps incorrectly, assumed he wanted me to let him know when he misplayed.

I don't know the rest of what's going on here because I've got Ulti on ignore on the boards, but I have spectated him in-game, and his request is generally to wait until the end of the game to tell him that stuff so he can focus on what is rather than what could have been.

Teleport lets you move things, yes. Of course, out of combat, you can also walk up to it and chuck it.

Only skill set that you really want to have is someone with Hydrosophist level 1. They don't have to go any farther, but you want the basic heal spell and rain. Rain seems like a filler ability, but I assure you it is not. It will save your life many times over throughout Act 1.

There are a lot of annoying things about this game you'll have to adapt to. I won't tell you all of them. I will advise you to quick save during every RPS event so you can reload until you win, hold onto any invisibility potions you pick up, and consider hoarding items that add passive bonuses to skills you may need some day. Beyond that, the game is yours to learn. The sequel fixes a ton of the grievances I have with 1 -- still not a perfect game, but far superior.

OTOH, it turns out that this vs Botanic Panic was like Halo vs Starcraft in terms of how the seedings worked out.

I am reluctant to run spiteful druid cause I just know that I'm going to have both UIs in my hand, and then spiteful/archivist will do nothing cause there will be zero spells in my deck.

This happens to me constantly in priest despite there being four spells. I even added a holy fire to combat this and it still happens far more than statistics should deem likely. I ended up cutting an archivist as a result because they're usually just dead in my hand.

Do you run the combo to bounce Wock in a normal Jade shell? Cause that's how I want to win: INFINITE value and a series of progressively larger men. But it seems like bouncing all your Jades back to hand would suck.

I have Grumble and Murmuring in the deck, but I don't run anything to double the Shudderwock, so you'd have to Shudderwock with Grumble still out to pull that off.

And bouncing the jades isn't awful since they only cost 1. They do lose taunt, though.

The jade shudderwock on wild is often useless, but when it goes off, it's often amazing. I'm hitting 20/20 jades with shaman, which is unheard of. Very rare I could do that with rogue, even. Had to cut Thrall since his deathrattle interfered. The deck does sometimes draw slow against aggro, but when I get my clears and claws, I do pretty okay.

Played is Final Fantasy, I imagine. I've played at least small bits of each mainline game (other than the MMOs) and a few side games. However, beaten is a different story. I think I've only ever finished 1 and 13. (And Tactics and...)

I suppose it's possible there's a series I've played more of, but it's unlikely, considering I don't lump every game Mario has ever appeared in under one umbrella.

I thought Shudderwork was supposed to be pre-nerf Yogg, but it stops dead cold as soon as Thrall's battlecry activates.

Fallen Angel does indeed win, 18-17, which is a real surprise to me considering I thought it was going down in flames. Took a 9-2 run in the last 90 minutes, but somehow it prevailed. Sorry, Len'en.

Things were looking bad for Fallen Angel up until the final hour when a sudden bevy of votes turned up to rally for the Wangan Midnight track, and we've got our second tie of the contest. (Yes, just second.)

Unfortunate results in the other two matches, and according to the responses from many of the voters, it would have been unfortunate results regardless of what had happened. MAIN MEN will continue its march to inevitably lose in the finals like it (or Las Vegas) does in every side bracket.

Genn's discount on the hero power matters literally only on turns 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. On any other turn, it's functionally equivalent to costing 2 because you'll never spend your last mana. Obviously that goes out the window if you can either (a) generate odd-costing cards or (b) find a way to use your hero power repeatedly, but neither of those apply to the basic hero powers, and therefore Genn is a dead card after you hit that stage. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out how even paladin is any better than just a general all-purpose paladin. All even paladin does is force you to use a smaller pool of cards.

By contrast, Baku continues to generate value, and is potentially superior to the DK power in some cases. (2 attack and 2 armor probably better than 3 of one, for instance.) The only time you want to replace a Baku power with another power is odd quest warrior. I'm okay with Rag shots only doing 8 damage.
