With few exceptions I'm actually really bad about remembering music in things. I can enjoy it in the moment, and thinking back SPPG had some neat tracks, but it usually isn't the first thing I think of.

I actually first noticed Ping Pong Girls while searching for Ping Pong after your recommendation! I knew Ping Pong Girls was almost certainly not the one you were talking about but cute anime girls playing ping pong won out in the end.

Sakura Quest does look good, thanks! I'll try to watch it in the near future depending on whether or not going back to Hanasaku Iroha works out.

In the meantime, I just finished Scorching Ping Pong Girls. I wouldn't call it amazing but it was definitely enjoyable the whole way through. They did a great job at making the table tennis matches fun to follow, and all the characters were great (especially Koyori). Also Hanabi in this was basically a grown-up version of Sacchan from Mitsuboshi Colors, right down to having the same high-energy mannerisms and voice actress! That was fun to see.

Ohana will not take abuse for long, she's the overbearing type. First few episodes just has her feeling down because she got dumped by her mom at this shitty inn.

Huh, I might go back to it then. I was down with most of it (girl being forced to move to a new place and finding herself is usually something I enjoy) but that inn became hell for her right away. If things improved even a little bit I would've been okay with it but there was no sign after three episodes.

Yeah I was pretty sure it was you who first mentioned Golden Time to me months ago but that you'd also said you had problems with it. I'd be interested in hearing about that once I'm done with it, if you don't mind!

I didn't mind the setting. Konohana Kitan and Kakuriyo are both recent anime about a girl working in an inn that I enjoyed a lot! This particular inn just seemed like a terrible place to work.

**R.O.B.A.Z.O.I.D**

I started watching three new anime today and, sadly, wound up dropping two of them after three episodes each.

First, Hanasaku Iroha wasn't for me. Every single person in this anime was a jerk and I can only handle that sort of thing if the focus of the story is about the main character ruthlessly destroying them. Ohana got sort of angry at times but otherwise there was every indication she was going to bear the abuse for 24 episodes and I just don't think I can watch that.

Second, Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (aka Denpa Onna) made it onto my list when people here talked about it a few weeks ago. I figured I would like a weird alien girl but she wound up being so low-energy and boring. I also wasn't a fan of all the erotic teasing between the main guy and both his cousin and his aunt.

On the plus side, while I don't see it becoming a favorite, Golden Time is still holding up after seven episodes. I'll post more about it once I finish it in a few days.

I've now finished both seasons of Overlord and I enjoyed them a lot. There are some things I could complain about, like how it glossed over a lot of things (seriously he got transported to another world and I don't think there was a single moment where he theorizes about what actually happened) but I still liked the stuff it focused on. I've always loved OP characters, at least when they're handled right, so this anime was a lot of fun to watch. I'm looking forward to the third season.

I'm fine with Steam deciding what games it wants to host (ideally they'd just create some sort of 18+ storefront for these types of games, but whatever), but I hate the fact that they aren't giving developers any information for why this is happening. Even if they wanted to abide by these new rules, they have no idea what problems they even need to fix. Apparently there's just total silence from Valve. That, coupled with the double-standard of this only impacting anime-style VN games, and I'm honestly going to be very disappointed in Steam unless they clarify (or reverse) their position.

I just finished Celestial Method. Overall it was kind of shoddy (so many problems could've been solved with a simple conversation) but I still liked it despite all that. I always love stories that show how friends used to be vs how they are now, and this had that plus all the interpersonal drama that comes with it. Noel was also really cute, she carried the anime even during its crummier moments. Celestial Method reminded me of a worse version of Anohana in a lot of ways, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing I guess.
