The entire NDS product line has been discontinued for years and years. Your only options of getting a new console will be you paying $300-500 for a new DS Lite or (preferably) a DSi. Refurbished ones will be rare. Used ones are common but I'd advise against it.

Most of the 3DS product line has been discontinued as well. You might want to consider getting an N2DS XL (a lot lighter and more compact than the regular 3DS XL and original 3DS) and taking advantage of recent developments regarding cheap games.

Name one thing

1. Consistent update release schedule. iOS updates are available for (nearly) all iOS devices at the same time.

2. Better curation and QC compared to the Google Play store.

3. iOS ports of mobile apps/games are generally superior (more stable, get updated faster, have developer priority) than Android ports.

4. iMessage as a whole is vastly superior (and less confusing) than Google Hello/Allo/Hangouts/whatever yearly messaging system they try to push.

5. Doing a majority of normal, everyday tasks require less steps and taps than on Android.

Honestly at this point, buying any flagship smartphone will be fine, regardless of what it is. I was lucky enough to get an iPhone X for dirt cheap (due to a pricing error) and to be honest, it's nowhere worth $1,000.
