Meanwhile country is about a trillion times better than today's mainstream music, but I digress. So last night at the Superbowl party we got on the topic somehow, and I said that Jimmy Buffet is country and my friend got all mad at me, and started saying shit like oh yeah you know everything right!!! Always know everything! He's written more country songs than some country musicians, but that's more a byproduct of how insanely prolific he is. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket. The first time I heard "Cheeseburger in Paradise" when I was a little bitty kid, it might have been the first time I physically cringed. I think the "nibblin' on spongecake" line from Margaritaville might actually be the worst song lyric ever conceived.
