Pedigree was a good finisher for Triple H. Never really bought it as Rollins's

Rollins's whole moveset kinda lacks impact. It's just a bunch floaty flippy stuff. Rollins more than anyone on the roster right now feels like he's sports entertaining more than wrestling or fighting.

The Curb Stomp gave it that finishing bite that it really really needed for me to credibly buy him winning matches. Like I could buy all his stupid floaty offense being there to put them into position for the ultimate deathblow, but without said deathblow it's like... uhhh.

Yeah I don't think they're like, unable to be salvaged or anything

But the Shield were a main event unit years ago, with the popularity to match

Right now you had Ambrose and Rollins slumming in the midcard for the tag titles and that was the right place for them at the moment. You have Roman who is highly mixed, booked at the main event level but no one really wants to see him there.

So basically you reform The Shield, and you have them against Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro-- in their prime this would be a squash for The Shield. Nowadays, it probably still will be, but that's not the natural way of things either and is rather just forcing things. Naturally booking the two units, that should be a close match.

You can say "oh look at the audience!!" but uhh, yeah I dunno how well WWE audiences really compare to the home viewers in general. If anything the longer we go the more it feels like WWE audiences aren't as far off from TNA's sweetened audiences than you'd think. Like there's definitely things they don't obey on, but I don't really think their reactions are truly indicative of the fanbase at the moment either.

But it's not like The Shield are ancient history, either. I mean they've teased the damn thing at least yearly too. This is kinda like when The Main Event Mafia came back in TNA after a 3 year break for no real reason-- everyone just sorta groaned. I don't think there's enough definition to Jinder's style for him to have good chemistry with anyone right now. He sorta just punches, kicks, does neck holds, and hits The Khallas when his opponent is open.

Like, I don't know... I think to myself, who could Jinder have a match with that sounds really fun, and I draw a total blank. I think part of this is on his matches so heavily centering around the Singh Brothers, which means a lot of the entertainment would come out of how fun it'd be to see them get destroyed.

So Jinder vs Braun Strowman could be cool is what I'm thinking.

Real talk, stat totals shouldn't even matter for Arena score. It's kinda clownish that they do. Should entirely be merges + rarity + skill inheritance, with the latter not being about raw points but just slots used.

Like I said I think it helps you as the player because you can bait the AI with your appropriate seal

But like, if I see all 3 of those seals on the enemy team, if I'm running Brave Bow + Reinhardt or whatever I can mix and match them to the appropriate foe.

Not that I use Reinhardt cause screw that guy but you know what I mean. They should still be pretty potent options on the player end because of the one seal restriction. If you could seal up whole teams then yeah it'd be a bit more killer for Reinhardt.

Seems like it wouldn't exactly crap on it then. It'd just give you more options to exploit the AI I think. But as the player you can play around them by mixing and matching your OHKO options to the right seals

I'm glad they at least realize there's a problem, though. That gives hope that the game might one day have something resembling balance to it.

Kevin Owens gets...

7/10 I think

Overall there's a lot going for him. He's mega douchey, has a rare (these days) backstory frienemy in Sami Zayn, and manages to be funny but with enough of an edge to come off as intimidating when he needs to. Thing is I just don't feel like his presentation is nearly consistent enough. It's just hard to take him seriously as a threat at times because he just doesn't have that top tier consistency or credibility for srs Kevin Owens to entirely work as the competition steps up-- which wouldn't be much of a problem were he a midcarder but it becomes a problem when he's booked at that level. And to nitpick just a bit this isn't all on the writing either. I do kinda feel like he needs to learn when to turn his taunt button off. Again I will stress that's just nitpicking.

In any case, at his best he'd be higher, but WWE just waffles too much on what they want to do with him. Hold this in a year or two maybe I'd rate him a bit higher.

Leon Kennedy - 7.5/10

Pretty solid cheesy action hero. Not really much going for him beyond that though.

Dracula - 8/10

Just an iconic great character. Stylish, lots of cool abilities, lore. Quite a bit of bonus points for Castlevania, though were it just Castlevania he'd be a bit lower I think. Some respect points here.

Bowser - 8/10

Really great execution of a silly bad guy who has for the most part been pretty consistently with this image throughout his life. Only thing holding him back is most Mario games are not like the Mario & Luigi type games and just don't have the presentation to maximize him.

Randy Marsh - 1.5/10

Thoroughly obnoxious and stupid-- kinda feels more at home in Family Guy than in South Park. He's a big part of the reason I don't watch South Park anymore.

Han Solo - 8.5/10

Probably the pinnacle of this type of character. I can't really say anything bad about him-- were I attempting to objectively rate he'd probably be well above a 9, but as it stands it's not really the kinda character that appeals to me terribly much. I tend to like my cool customers to be a bit more on the cheesy side like Leon Kennedy. That I like him so much in spite of that speaks to how well done he is. Honestly I might be slightly dinging him for TFA as well.

Bugs Bunny - 1/10

One of the worst characters ever. Just super obnoxious, never loses. I was always rooting for Daffy, Elmer, Sam, or whoever else.

But they just bludgeoned us over the head with the fact that they still hate each other.

Like if you take that out, it's actually (maybe) a good swerve. As it is it's kinda really dumb and totally something that were Russo at the helm he'd be eviscerated for.

Overall I thought that PPV was pretty garbage. I did appreciate Ziggler-- really feels like he actually slowed down his wrestling style this time, and no music is actually what he should have (though cut the record scratch from now on, just let him walk out). And the opening match was good, and Natalya/Charlotte was okay. But yeah just pretty bad otherwise.

For the record I'm pretty close to the furthest thing from a pickup artist you can be while still being socially functional.

I'm just a normal guy who is capable of talking to women, realizes that asking or being asked for a number is not a big deal unless you make it one, and who realizes the reality of the situation of meeting someone in an airport.

Like I'm not even really trying to be insulting when I say "this says more about you"-- this is legitimately what I think. If your vision of a guy asking a girl for her number is one that is creepy by default, then like, you probably either haven't ever done it or you've done it in such an awkward way that of course it'd be creepy. It's just not a big deal.
