What achievements are they?

Actually one I can do right now by just loading my current save file and choosing a different ending.

The others require you to get $10,000 from one Underboss, kill 15 racket informants, make it to the end with just one Underboss, and make 10 enemies kill themselves with their own molotovs.

I never understood why they would reward you for killing the racket informants since saving them gives you more money for your business... But whatever.

Oh I forgot, I also liked how they broached the topic of racism of the era, and they showed a wide spectrum of imagery ranging from the super raunchy (like the orgy with a bunch of chicks and guys doin' stuff in a club) to the downright vulgar (the KKK guys selling African Americans above a grocery store.).

It's a weird contrast from the rest of the gameplay which is rather generic.

I enjoyed it throughout, especially the variety in the main missions and the DLC content. It certainly felt a little rushed at the end, though. The choice after the final mission was rather refreshing - it was just more compelling than the stereotypical "good guy" / "bad guy" options you get in games these days.

Overall it was enjoyable though there were some rather aggravating moments. These include those lame supply missions where you have to drive what feels like five minutes to the bayou to steal a slow truck to drive ten minutes back to the opposite side of the map to bump up your income. And Burke's loyalty missions, where you steal cars, was just annoying as hell.

But anyway, it doesn't matter because this won't happen anytime soon. If everyone else gives up their nukes, being the one country that cheats and keeps nukes has a big payoff. The game theoretics make it tough to see how it could work.

I do want to learn the history of region locking now that you mention it, stuff like how it all started, who was the first blaggard who proposed it and what went on from there, etc.

I mean for video games it basically started because a single global video game market meant that games were either being sold at a single price point without factoring in regional economies, or they were being sold at multiple price points factoring in regional economies but then that meant that people in a more expensive area could just buy from a cheaper area.

So in a way it benefits both the company and the customer.

Banjo2553 posted...
How are the Far Cry games anyway? Just open-world FPS games? Never played one.

First one will always hold a very special place in my heart. It is fairly linear but across very, very open levels so you get a little leeway in how you go about getting to the objective. It's got a dumb plot twist that everyone hates but I personally love it.

Second one and on are open world. This one has the most illogical plot ever. They have some really awesome details / ideas in it (like the buddy system and starting brush fires) but they also went overboard with the attention to detail (every other gun you pick up is going to jam after five shots and explode in your hands after seven, for instance).

Third one has you playing as a college student on vacation fighting against a drug cartel (rofl). It takes a lot of the fun aspects from 2, especially the stealth mechanics, while getting rid of most of the tediousness. There are side missions but they were all written in the span of about ten seconds and take half that long to complete. It's also a bit Assassin's Creed-esque in that you explore, climb and activate towers and find collectibles.

Fourth one is the same as the third except with a slightly more coherent plot and vertical gameplay (thanks to the grappling hook and gyrocopter). Side missions are a little more developed, too.

It's imo a very niche series, since it is open world and lets you go in Rambo-style or sneak around Solid Snake-style, or sometimes do a little combination of both, or even... just do dumb crap like release a wild tiger into a camp and watch it destroy people. There are clearly defined missions, side-missions, and collectibles, so it's not like DayZ or Rust or anything like that, but they are pretty lengthy games for being FPS titles.

The fact that they think the issue is that people are upset that their cars were more polluting than they were (hint: maybe like two VW TDI drivers maybe actually ever thought about emission pollution when they bought their car).

And then they go on to say "How could a company lie so much to its consumers? i did some investigation and realized the scandal went deeper..."
