Who were your favorite characters/couples?

(I always use TVTropes character pages if I struggle with names in case you're like me and still barely knew anyone's names by the end of the show)

TVTropes would help more if it had pictures alongside all the characters!

Aside from Katori obviously being the best (and Kazuko being good by association since she recognizes his greatness), my favorite couples were probably Sugawara/Takano because they felt pretty realistic, and Kana/Chiaki because they were fun characters.

I would've voted Yuru Camp if it applied, but Blend-S gets my vote for now!

Anyway, I watched all of Devilman Crybaby. I enjoyed it, and I can definitely see how it could be deeply impactful to certain people, but it didn't reach those levels for me. I'm left with a weird feeling where I can acknowledge that it more than accomplished what it was trying to do yet none of it really appealed to me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm reading the manga now, and it has even more characters! Some of them make cameos in the show, but yeah, a few plot lines were cut completely from the show because it would be even more of an overload.

And yeah, the blonde love master is great. I said in the last topic that he's literally Teddie if he actually knew anything about women.

He certainly looks like Teddie, but he has 100x more charm and awesomeness.

Anyway, I finished Tsuredure Children and enjoyed it. The hopeless romantic in me would've appreciated it if more of the ongoing stories got definitive happy closure but I guess this is to be expected from a partial adaptation.

I wasn't sold by the first episode of FranXX. I was excited for this anime because the studio also made LWA (I know it probably isn't by all the same people or anything but I'm still new to anime and Trigger is the only studio I really know by name) but LWA was constantly imaginative while FranXX feels rather generic so far. At least 002 was good so there's still potential.

Deal! I watched the first seven episodes and it's pretty good. Lots of fun relationship situations. There are too many characters and I'm bad at remembering names but the blonde love master guy is my favorite just because of how absurd he always is.

Killing Bites still isn't up on Amazon Prime (not in Canada, anyway), but I was able to watch the first episode of Beatless. While a lot of aspects were handled really clumsily I still liked it quite a bit. Hopefully once they're done setting things up it'll find its footing. The concept has serious potential.

I'm much less sure how I feel about Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens. It was alright but nothing in episode one really grabbed me. I feel like I'm barely even sure where the story might be going.

I also watched the second episodes of Junji Ito Collection (much better than the first but I'm still not super impressed) and Record of Grancrest War. Grancrest feels like a mix of Fire Emblem and Dynasty Warriors and I'm really enjoying how those two things are coming together.
