The only thing I dislike about Lincolns is their insistence on making the transmissions controlled by buttons on the center console. Not everything needs to be a button, dammit.

I could be wrong, but isn't the 'every 3000 miles' thing not correct for newer vehicles?

I just check my oil and rely on my sensor to decide when I need to get an oil change. The sticker that the company puts on my car means nothing to me.

Oil sensors are generally nothing more than timers. You'll have separate warnings for low oil level or pressure, but there's no sensor that will deduce when it's time for an oil change. Your best bet is to go by the manufacturer recommendations - for Ford, it's every 10,000 miles or 7,500 in "severe traffic" areas. If you don't hit those mileage figures, you should be changing your oil every 6 months or so.

It turned into a form of self medication for my depression (when in reality it was just exacerbating things).

Yeah. I was super hyped during that scene. Then... it just kinda petered out, like they didn't know how to finish what they started.

No. It would have been too out of character.

I disagree. Rey is inexperienced with the Force. She could have just as easily approached the dark side from a "I can harness this power to defeat The New Order" perspective. Or, hell, she could have taken a strong light side stance but have been unable to resist tapping in to her anger, like Luke in the OT. My point is, they spent the first part of the movie driving the point home that Rey was incredibly powerful and Luke feared that she'd turn.

I enjoyed it, but it should have been darker. Not in an ESB parallel way, but I feel like they could have made the conflict between Kylo Ren and Rey more intense by making her just as tempted to turn as he was. They definitely drove home the point that Luke was afraid of losing Rey because of both her power and his failure, but I never felt any risk that Rey would have turned to the dark side. The climax had less impact because of that.

There were other flaws with the movie, but that's the main criticism I have. The Dark Side of the Force is supposed to be dark, so make it dark.

That?s people who never had to worry about money.

Not entirely. In some places, it's law.

In Alabama, for example, you are legally required to make sure your prospective tenant makes at least triple the rent. Mrs. DevsBro and I had a pretty hard time with this when we looked for her first apartment back when we weren't married yet.

They allowed her to count tips, which I don't think you're supposed to do.

What the fuck? No wonder Alabama is so backwards with anti-tenant laws like that.

I walked into the shop this morning at around 6:45, and all I heard was the end of a yelling match at the other end. The tech is drunk as hell and apparently got into a shouting match with our service director. Bad start.

Over the course of 3 hours, and probably for quite some time before I arrived, all the other shop staff had been telling him to go home and sleep it off. Instead he's being a jackass and doing stupid stuff like hiding in the second floor of parts, or pulling his truck into the emissions bay and proceeding to disassemble the steering column to the point where it wouldn't start. We got him distracted enough to start the truck and pull it into an unused bay, then took the keys. He didn't like that.

Our GM told him to go home unless he wanted to leave in handcuffs. He finally took the hint and stumbled off. Now he's blowing up everyone's phone and wearing down everyone's patience. Dude needs to go to rehab. I'm very surprised that he's not fired.
