It's funny (not ha-ha funny) that Trump doesn't care about collateral damage. And decimate means to reduce by one tenth.

EVERY worker at AT&T -- down to the most menial employee -- is getting an extra $1000.

I get that you're bitter that this has already produced more wealth for working class people than any socialist policies Bernie or the Democrats purposed, but no reason to be deliberately dishonest by calling the raises/bonuses tiny. Clearly Mother Government is not needed to make workers better off.

Whoop dee fucking doo. Can they spare it?
Is that going to catch us up for decades of inflation? How many thousands more will executives and shareholders be getting from this tax plan? How nice of them to throw everyone a bone. Now all those grunts better shut up and appreciate their benevolent corporate overlords or they're ungrateful liberal freeloaders. And wow Trump has produced more wealth as President than a guy who didn't even get the privilege of winning the Democratic primary and proposed policies. What a maverick. Next you'll praise him for giving us all a courtesy flush. How many Republicans can you fit in one ass, you transparent shill?

im more impressed with the higher wages and more put to infrastructure (maybe we'll actually get more fucking fiber finally). the one time bonus is still iffy to me unless thats every year. its nice, dont get me wrong, but it doesnt say much when a company is going to rake in billions extra each year while they only have to give away 100-200million to their employers as a "celebration" gift. now if that $1000 was a mandatory bonus (on top of what ever they get) every year that would be a little different tho still a bit scummy given how much some of these corporations make. if rather take a $3 pay raise.

I'd argue it's more sad to ignore all the accomplishments of a president because he's on the wrong political side.

Like you and TC did with Obama?

Obama didn't accomplish anything.

So you're a hypocritical hack.

That isn't to say that he didn't do things, it's just that the things he legislated on were negative to the country, allowed ISIS to thrive, and took race relations back about 40 years. So I wouldn't call any of it accomplishments.

He bombed the fuck out of ISIS, dunce.

That's why they thrived, right?

cnbc reported only non-executive positions

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/20/tax-reform-reaction-att-is-giving-bonuses-to-200000-employees.html

but it's important to note that they also reported only bonuses. dailymail appears to be speculating/making shit up wrt salary increases being tied to the tax bill. it wouldn't make sense for salary increases to be applied anyway--the tax bill is likely temporary, salary increases are permanent.

at&t is also raising worker wages, separately, because of a successful worker's strike. that was announced a week ago, prior to the tax bill's passage in the house/senate.

Are you aware some of these people getting the $1,000 bonus haven't been on a real vacation in years? Or maybe never even left their state because some of them are virtually living paycheck to paycheck?

A $1,000 can do a lot for someone who didn't expect to have an extra $1,000.

Because you can't benefit from a RAISE if you don't got a JOB

Unemployment is at 20 year low and African American unemployment is at a 17 year low. You are essentially living in the golden age of the 1990s again. Another .3-.5% reduction and it would be the lowest unemployment rate measured since the 1950s. If you dont have a job, and want one, in todays economy, you need to take a deep reflective look at yourself and ask why. Its most certainly not the "lost decade" anymore.

On Thursday, leaders of the Local 6360 Union held a meeting to offer help and share resources with workers who have been laid off. How can you lay people off and then give them $1,000 and say that theres going to be more jobs available? How can you lay people off and then give them $1,000 and say that theres going to be more jobs available? I wish someone could tell me how thats possible because I have to explain that to my members, and right now at this time of year, this is a difficult pill to swallow, said Joseph Blanco, president of Local 6360 Communication Workers of America Union.

And not a tear was shed for union fat cats losing their job. Want a job? Dont join a union. There is zero reason you are worth 30+% more than the next person just because you knew someone that got you a hall card.

Don't want a cost of living increase? Don't join a union.
Don't want PTO? Don't join a union.
Don't want safety equipment? Don't join a union.

Dont want a job for very long? Pay your union dues and end up unemployed anyway

Mega corporations announce they will give people tiny raises. Better crown Trump the greatest leader of all time and never question our brand of capitalism again. I am a smart person.

EVERY worker at AT&T -- down to the most menial employee -- is getting an extra $1000.

I get that you're bitter that this has already produced more wealth for working class people than any socialist policies Bernie or the Democrats proposed, but no reason to be deliberately dishonest by calling the raises/bonuses tiny. Clearly Mother Government is not needed to make workers better off.

EVERY worker, except for, you know, the 600 that are losing their jobs in January. What was that about the tax reform creating jobs again?

On Thursday, leaders of the Local 6360 Union held a meeting to offer help and share resources with workers who have been laid off. The meeting falls on the same night AT&T announced $1,000 bonuses for more than 200,000 U.S. employees in response to the GOP Tax Plan passing. Those recently notified of these job cuts say the bonuses seem like a slap in the face.
