When Toriyama introduced her, he translated her name to English and rendered it "Bulma", changing the 'r' to 'l', as is standard with Japanese to English translations, but only dropping one of the 'u's. This is inconsistent with other characters.Furza for example, drops the first 'u'. If we were to keep it consistent with other characters, then Bulma's name should be "Blooma". Funny enough, Toriayama would again get this wrong a few decades later and translate her name directly to the pun source "Bloomers". You'll be much happier in an apartment, investing in your retirement.
