They've been using ChatGPT to write the polls for roughly a year now

I've always thought it was the admins and some of the mods.

i personally come up with new ways for them to ask which way you hang your toilet paper each year.

I think it's just whatever corporate sponsor wants to know, and if they have nothing, you get a weird question.

I always find it funny any poll asking what your platform is, PC wins, but then any gaming poll posted is entirely console focused. Almost like console manufacturers have some sort of investment in gamefaqs.

I searched "platform" and couldn't find any polls that supported your claim that people here prefer PC. At best it's ones like this where PC wins if you throw out the 72% saying they don't really care:

Duh? I just said that. But you can find countless other polls of people saying they spent more attention on consoles or found consoles had a better year than PC

Since consoles get 100% of the marketing, that makes sense

No I'm just saying their own polls prove more than half the people here play on PC. Yet almost no polls allow answers from PC gamers or are written in a way that a PC gamer can respond easily.
I never said exclusively PC.
And any opinion poll about games will always say console, and probably Nintendo.
Gamefaqs has an extreme console bias. It's easy to believe that it's from the big 3 paying gamefaqs.

89% of users have a PC, not 89% of users game on PC. 19% don't have a PC that will play games (presumably, this just means anything remotely contemporary, since it doesn't take much to play *some* games), another 25% have one that's showing its age, and 45% have something reasonably current.

Beyond that, though, having a gaming-quality PC does not necessarily make PC the primary gaming platform for those people, which is reflected in the annual poll about people's "platform of the year" and the occasional "what platform did you spend the most time playing" poll. A non-trivial portion of the userbase spends a decent amount of time playing on PC, but it's definitely not 89%.

I mean, I have a PC, and I loathe PC gaming.
