I do believe in your case it was an unintentional emotional manipulation. But it still sucks all the same to need to play through that kinda stuff.

It was just a sucky situation to be in as a host and there is no real good way to handle it-- I gave him some moral support via PM because I felt so bad for him. I would hate to have to host that, legit.

In Chris's defense though he doesn't do that every game

That doesn't make it acceptable, just means I would not avoid playing games with Chris in the future based off of this

And yes this game was super painful to watch

Chris basically did what I think Crescent does (gaslight people who suspect her) to the WHOLE GAME

I would have modkilled him after 48 hours when it was reasonably sure he was stable

I didn't think you became obv scum until late when you were putting effort into the game and being wrong about it

Had Crescent basically all game based mostly on her not derailing the game with 900 posts

Had sbell and plum as wrong choices most of the game. Had red/sheep for a bit thinking Chris was scumtheater (he recovered with so much gusto I thought he might be faking-- however I hadnt noticed red replaced out after n2 for a long time would have probably put him back in my calculations off that when chris flipped town)

I don't even hate FFX-2 it kinda just all cancels out in a boring way that I can't funshine my way through.

Between the job system and the over the top girl power buffoonery I should like it but the execution is just lacking.

With unlimited time to play video games I'd get through it no problem but man it's just hard to motivate myself.

Can I present a counterargument that anyone who's played a tony hawk game would know of some other notable people? Tony hawk games were immensely popular, and I personally know about guy slike burnquist or mullens because of those games.

This is how I feel too

People disproportionately know Tony Hawk here because of his games-- don't feel he's Tiger Woods or Gretskylike but yeah if you're actually into his games then you know a bit more than just Tony Hawk

Seems you'd primarily be dealing in gamers who are aware his games exist but didn't play and/or enjoy them for his notoriety.

Not really a fan of standard Tetris Which I've always found a little strange because I do like the genre as a whole. It is playable but not enjoyable.

For me it's either boring because I'm trivially making lines or frustrating because the speed has gotten a bit too high for me to keep up or too many unfriendly blocks in a row. There's not really a happy medium state where I feel engaged but not annoyed, and this happens no matter how much better I get at the game-- getting better at the game just means takes longer to hit the point where my boredom near instantly transforms into annoyance.

Tons and tons of better puzzlers out there including several with "Tetris" in the title.

I've been finding good success with this degenerate deck because High Evo kinda putses off and ignores the other board but it's kinda crazy almost losing when the combo goes off

Like real talk I don't see why it can't be like a 2/2 with that effect. You would ideally save it till turn 6 to surprise people I think but at least you'd have some meat.

Giving up your turn 6 just to spread the lanes just doesn't seem worth it.

The problem with Living Tribunal is I have trouble seeing a reason it beats Galactus most of the time in terms of function.

Would be more interesting if it cost less.

I actually like High Evo as a Quicksilver effect. I do think that could help.

Honestly what I'd probably do is

High Evolutionary

At the start of the game, unlock the secret powers of your cards with no abilities
Ongoing: Enhance the secret powers unlocked by High Evolutionary.

And then nerf a few of them a bit, let his ongoing put them at their current levels, buff the weaker ones maybe. You could also combine this with the Quicksilver effect.

Hulk Abomination Thing and Wasp are the ones I feel are a bit much. The others feel ok imo. If you made it so you had to play High Evolutionary to put them at their current levels it'd probably be fine.

But yeah to me he's far more annoying than Galactus ever was. Just an annoying card to face at the moment and he's everywhere.

There are so many cards that counter Galactus. You don't even need to use Debrii. That's just the easy one to slot.

I would assume she gets the same bonus Hulk does. Ongoing tends to have memory. Like Knull for example doesn't start counting when you play him it remembers the whole game and Mystique will do the same.

It's not all that great for Mystique cause she has no base power though. Dino Mystique, Ronan Mystique and Knull Mystique will all be higher with less work.

That and the battle design is completely different.

ATB system is the same on paper but now you have a rich customization system to use with it and bosses that make you need to use said customization. Compared to base FF4 where you can just zerg through everything without thinking.

So yeah calling it the same system is just really dumbing it down.

I do agree it's not even really the same game at that point compared to the other versions which are.

Probably didn't play it enough to actually see the system was totally different.

DS has some really brilliant boss design and good challenge. It's pretty much an entirely different game and it's better for it.
