If we're talking about a suspect, depends on how they were acting and if they police acted appropriately. If we're talking about a bystander, it depends on the situation and if the police acted negligently. Every single death caused by police should really be investigated by an outside agency though.

Yes, but you have to have sufficient ability to prove them, is the point. People state things about him like they are absolute fact, when they're mostly just inferences. They're very reasonable inferences, but that doesn't make them proof.

No. Plenty of people say flat cash doesn't help the homeless because they'll just spend it on beer and drugs, and that you should only ever offer them food. This proves that theory wrong.
This seems to be talking about a different class of homeless, so not really. Someone who has been couch surfing for two years and just has lacked the money to settle down is vastly different from someone who has been living on the streets for a decade. They're both homeless, but their circumstances are completely different. Depending on how you define it, you could probably break them down into many different categories, all who need different types of help, monetarily, mentally, and in other ways.

Yeah, but do you at least agree he recklessly put himself in a situation where self defense was required? Because of that, I don't see a problem with the families of the people he killed going after him
From the perspective of analyzing who he is, I think anyone can see he's the type of person who probably had sick power fantasies of a situation like he went through, but I don't see how such an analysis helps anything from a legal perspective. Unless his activities being in the right wing limelight have brought forth statements that could be used in these cases, it's not the legal system's duty to ascribe unsaid thoughts and motivations. Lawyers can definitely try to pry them out during testimony, though.

If you're speaking from a moral perspective only, I'd agree. If you're arguing from a legal perspective, I think it's irrelevant to bring up. Unless there's proof to show his intent was malicious, it's ultimately a factor that does not matter. It was really only relevant on the matter of the legality of the gun.

It depends on how you're defining homelessness. Most people probably think of the on-the-street, visible population. That's a different demographic from the displaced but still functional population. Both are problems that need to be solved, but it kind of muddies the waters when they're lumped into the same demographic.

Just just gonna throw this out there. The reason liberals hate Rittenhouse so much is because he's conservative. That's literally the only reason. You know how I know? Imagine if he had been a left wing BLM supporter and the three people he shot had been far rightists. Liberals would love him and call him a hero, especially since one of the guys he shot was a child rapist. The left's hatred for Rittenhouse is entirely political.
I assume this is bait, but he's hated because he's a smarmy piece of human garbage. I think he's completely legally in the right, but he's a shitstain regardless.

I never understand this point. Anyone can go anywhere, protest anywhere, and carry any legal firearm anywhere. The only points of contention should be if any of those factors are not legal, which was the whole debate about the firearm, or if there is explicit documentation of something like the person literally saying "I am going there to kill people."

Unless details are different than presented, seems pretty fair next. The normal reaction to someone being in front of your car is not to accelerate. Unless the cop just ran in front of her without giving her any time to react and just started shooting before she could even think to put her foot on the brakes, I'm not sure what anyone would expect. It's more of a tragic outcome than someone getting their just deserts, but it's entirely on her and her alone based on these details.

PETA's bullshit can certainly take away from real animal rights organizations. People might donate less because they correlate everything with PETA. You have to remember that not everyone is going to deep dive into these issues. If all they see are the surface level crazies, that might mean they just ignore the issue completely.

People keep saying protesters piss people off and turn them away from the cause. You hear it all the time when protesters for designated "liberal" causes make a scene.

To me, that sounds like people won't support a cause if they come across protesters who do something they don't like. And people who truly believe something wouldn't do that regardless of what any protester does.
In the case of stuff like global warming, I think it paints them as insane, which only emboldens the "global warming is false" narrative. Actions speak louder than intent, and misunderstanding of intent leads to the dilution of the message.
