Leanaunfurled 09/01/23 9:30:52 AM #23	I know cut content is a normal thing but to clarify BG3 also has cut content that was done so right before release. Upper City was still being advertised a couple months up to it and Act 3 is a noticeable quality drop from 1-2, it has a crapload amount of glitches and bugs (they've done good work so far releasing patches for it) and it just straight up doesn't have a proper ending. Those 17,000 ending variations advertised? Not there. It's been funny to me watching people swag the hell out of Starfield for "bugs" and "unfinished" (even though I heard it's a complete game just fine) when BG3 is right there. All the Starfield hullabaloo seems way exaggerated in the first place, not helped along by the expectations that grew over the years. I'm sure it can do plenty of things better, but I'm also sure it isn't a Bad Game. --- Playing:

Leanaunfurled 09/01/23 1:15:00 AM #1	Almost can't believe how much I liked it, I'd probably say it's a 9/10 for me. A whole lot of things I loved about it and I liked a lot of the changes. Not all. There's one I feel meh on and one I feel conflicted on (conflicted about ~~Garp's personality~~, meh about ~~Nami's village being unaware of what she was doing~~) but not enough to drag it down a serious amount. I hated Arlong in the trailers and I was won over with the real viewing of him. Some things I felt were done even better than in the manga, like Syrup Village. --- Playing:

Some of them even tie together to fill in info of a much bigger story, which has led to me digging around like someone starved for more. Unfortunately, I've now seen it all until 4.1. The lore drops for some NPCs started as early as 3.6! Keep an eye out for ~~Jakob~~. --- Playing:

Astarion didn't like me for the entire game but I still had him in my party for all of it, did his personal quest, yada yada. He just didn't give me that vampire booty. --- Playing:

Reddit found in the data files that theres so much more to the ending thats missing I was reading the same thing earlier. I have a hunch that was temporary collateral when they pushed the date forward a month and it should be enabled for the PS5 launch, but we'll see. I was also reading about the Upper City, which Swen was talking about as late as June '23, but that got scrapped, too. Generally speaking it feels like a lot of companion reaction stuff was dialed way back in Act 3, too. Doe posted... Is there not multiple endings? There are different general endings. Have you played New Vegas, and at the end it did multiple slides at the end for different companions, factions, locations, etc. detailing how they ended up? A six months later thing like that is in the data for BG3 but not implemented yet, so a lot of it right now doesn't feel satisfying. --- Playing:

When I first start to panic and think, "What the HELL, Larian?!" lol Kim_Seong-a posted... Is there a way to stealth the Moonrise Tower? This is one of the those, and the first one I did. Right before destroying the Watch, I found out Lae'zel was taken by Orin and I was threatened to kill Gortash first, who I was intending to save for last. I'm trying to get to the Bhaal temple to rescue Lae'zel and I got as far as Sarevok, who I realize I need to fight (damn :0 ) as hell no I'm not joining lol. Then I discovered the darn Temple is underground, which I haven't explored at all yet. Does Lae'zel's rescue have a timer? Do I even have enough time to kill this Tribunal, find the temple underground, and do whatever else I need to do in the temple before I get to Orin? Or at this point should I stop being stubborn and go kill Gortash, since his Watch is already dismantled anyway. --- Playing:

Thankfully I'm familiar with cRPGs, and opted to start as balanced difficulty. Don't need to stress myself out over tactician mode. I'm not familiar with real D&D at all or druid space in it but from what I read and if it's your thing, shape-shifting is more balanced in BG3. In terms of all forms still being useful at later levels if you want them to be. I've been having a lot of fun with the class. --- Playing:

Yesterday I was talking to Karlach, doing my usual camp rounds, and I get a dialogue option to let her know that I chose Gale. I'm like...uh? Not once have I flirted with her. ~~A hug, for what I feel is very appropriate one in context~~, and that's all. Cue the most guilt-inducing scene of kicked puppy Karlach crying about her broken heart and I'm feeling a weird mixture of immense confusion and feeling like crap lol. Doe posted... Define flirty, because for example for me Did you try to follow through with Astarion? For me, it sounded like he was coming on to me at first, but when I tried to respond positively, ~~I got hit with the devastating, "Sex with you? Eurg, no. Ew!" line.~~ For Gale, I did that scene, but when I responded about picturing us being romantic, ~~he got surprised and said he didn't expect me to think of that and he ended things for the night. And someone that adores her cat irl, I love how much he loves HIS cat and how he'll ramble about her and worry about how my character would get along with her lol. Finally romancing him now, too. People online complain about him being ultra thirsty and begging and all that but for me, I had him in my party this entire time and he's always liked me, but not until the end of act 2 did he finally start things with me.
