I mean, yeah. Oblivion is scary, fear of it is commonly the last major barrier in people becoming atheists.

Severely dislocated my knee a couple of years ago, in emergency when they were moving me to the bed somebody moved my leg wrong, things went just to insane pain and I involuntarily screamed out. Many nurses rushed to my bed, apparently the sound I gave out was what they associate with a 10/10 in the pain scale.

There was no ramp up at all, I was probably around a 3 and it instantly shot to 10, thankfully only for an instant. I really feel for people who experience that level of pain over a prolonged period.

I swear, even hopping on one leg with a paramedic holding me up didn't bring me anywhere close to that pain I felt. I don't think it even hurt that much when it happened but that could have been the adrenaline and shock numbing the pain then.

Wouldn't a human eating the Hito Hito no Mi basically turn into the ultimate example of humanity? I'm pretty sure Oda said something like that in an SBS. Sure, you'd still be constrained by human limits, so there are far better fruits to get. But you'd basically be Captain America.

I selected other. I don't have a threads account and I do have a twitter account but the reason I selected other is because I don't actually use my twitter account anymore, not even logged in. I'd delete it but I want to see if Musk is telling the truth about deleting inactive accounts after a few months so my plan is to log into it next year some time to see if it still exists, assuming Twitter still exists at that point of course.

It's odd how topics asking questions like this, supposedly coming from a place of good faith and deep thought, are always asked in a way that favors monotheism and throws all other considerations out the window.

There is no more reason to assume a single creator than five creators, or five thousand. I can't say with certainty and neither can you, so why are you insisting that if we were created (and that is a rather big IF!), it must've been by a singular being?

Most people on this site were raised in a culture where the dominant religions are monotheistic and thus that's the default most will go to.

It's impossible to claim something non-falsifiable doesn't exist and anybody who tries to take on that burden of proof is doing it wrong. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim and you have no need to actually believe their nonsense until they can actually prove it.

Basically, you sound like an atheist just based on the first post. You don't believe in any deities and do not want to take on the burden of proof that rightfully belongs to others.

Browns are one of the quieter ones, yes. They also I find have a nice feel to them as well, you can get a feel for when they actuate and thus don't have to fully depress a key while typing which helps speed you up.

Blue are one of the most clickity clackity ones but also have a great finger feel.

Well, this was likely a mistake that's going to bite them in the ass. Taking money from people is a great motivator for them to vote. This is also an issue that doesn't only impact the youth but also the parents of the youth who help out their kids.

If the Democrats actually run on reforming the court? We could see them make some major gains.

The problem is this hyper partisan conservative court don't give a fuck about that, so it's anybodies guess really.

I think they legit are unhappy about being considered by many to be an illegitimate court.

If they overturn it the calls for reforming the court will increase significantly, that will be the court directly taking money from voters bank account. I'm not convinced the Court will be willing to do that considering how unpopular they already are.

The safe move for them is to just punt it away, no need to make a decision either way when they could just say the people who took this to the court have no standing.

I do think sometimes they kill a manga too quickly and sometimes let it drag on too long though. They need to find a middle ground for a manga to find its feet but not so long that it's hurting potential new prospects.

It's a mandatory purchase for streaming because Sony is years behind in cloud infrastructure, it's terrible in concept already because the calendar year is 2023. Also, if it costs more than a Switch Lite it's also a terrible deal.

Not entirely true, you can stream to the PC already and if you hack a Vita you can stream to that too. Sony was actually quite ahead of the curve when it came to streaming, their problem is they don't have the world wide data centres that you find from the likes of Microsoft so streaming games from Sony themselves is not as good of a service as Microsoft has.

But yes, I do agree that the Project Qs usefulness is going to depend entirely on its price which I already stressed in my first post.

I've never agreed with BGleason on anything ever on this board, but he's completely right about this. As it is, being put in the foster care system is one of the quickest ways to a terrible life within the US, as it drastically increases your risk of physical or sexual abuse, homelessness, low educational attainment, criminal justice involvement, you name it. And that's with humans that are uncontroversially fully human.

The fact that something is illegal doesn't mean it doesn't happen, especially to people without power or undesirables.

As I've finally been tackling weeds this season by pulling (no chemicals to kill or etc) clover seems to be instantly occupying the new space which has been great

If you live in a place where clover is natural? It's fantastic. Once it establishes itself it can out compete weeds far better than grass ever could.

People should go with a natural lawn, what that means differs depending on where you live.

Here, instead of grass it should be shrubs, certain mosses and/or clover.

Making such a lawn is lower maintenance and uses significantly less water.
