I really enjoyed Legends. There is less emphasis on battling and more emphasis on catching though (it's a little closer to the Let's Go games in terms of battling mechanics; there are no abilities or hold items in both games, for instance), so you need to decide if that sort of thing would be a dealbreaker to you.

I couldn't guess it, but that's because drawing names from a hat is something I've pretty much never taken part of.

I would find this obnoxious/unwanted, but I stay indoors often enough that I don't feel like this would usually be an issue. I'd take the money.

I get the point you were going for, but yeah, gotta be careful with how you phrase it, precisely because of how trigger happy people on reddit and largely the internet as a whole are.

Gradius III on SNES is a standout example in my memory. It was actually something that really helped with player survival, as some people found out the hard way in rereleases on more powerful hardware, which actually included a on/off toggle in the settings to emulate the slowdown effect the original had.

It's anecdotal of course. I don't know for sure if it's having that effect.

Except I never said "all female vtubers sound like males". I said the ones I've come across usually do, which makes sense because most video gaming content I see on YT is also clearly male-voiced. They're usually making zero attempt to disguise it or anything; it's obvious they just want some anime girl as their avatar because they know it'll get them more views/subs.

Even if this weren't the case, it would still be weird to me. This is just something that makes it weirder.

In any case, you may want to work on your reading comprehension skills before you go around accusing other people of "trolling".

and with some of them you don't even need to do stalking watch their content for long enough and youtube will eventually recommend their other channels or clips from those channels

I would never watch their content long enough for YT to push these recommendations because... I don't enjoy watching vtuber content.

I don't get it either. I don't want to see weird anime girls "voicing" the (usually clearly male-sounding, which just makes it weirder) person playing the game; it's just a distraction on the screen from what I actually clicked on the video to see.

If you don't want to show your face on the internet, nobody's saying you have to. You're not obligated to show something else in its place. (Yes, I actually know people do this sort of thing because it actually does get them more views, for some weird reason. But for me, it'll usually just deter me from watching. I feel it detracts rather than adds to the video.)

Bad mechanic. Some games implement it more acceptably/tolerably than others, but I have never found it outright enjoyable or fun. Usually it contributes massively toward me finding the game tedious overall (looking at you, BotW, Fallout 3/NV...)

"It gets better/easier later" is just as bad of a defense for this mechanic as it is for long games as a whole, btw. If you make the player have to endure a shitty experience before getting to the point where it isn't as shitty anymore, I'm far more likely to just quit first. I have way less time, patience, and tolerance for that kind of bullshit nowadays than I may have had as a kid.

I wouldn't really care, but I see why people would. Some people have an issue with other people capitalizing off of their work/expenditure, even if to a minor degree like this. (I'm also the sort that would probably verbally question what they were doing if I saw it, unaware of what was going on, so it's possible that I could unintentionally narc on someone.)
