It's funny because I tend to spend in mobile games but I only get Season Passes in Snap. I also got the Gambit + Rogue bundle but that's like it. I'm actually surprised mega whales exist-- what's the actual incentive the game isn't really designed to gouge people.

I feel like people who hate pineapple pizza either hate pineapple or have only had pizza that had way too much pineapple on it

I don't like pizza with a TON of pineapple but with certain toppings it's pretty good complement and hard to imagine anyone passionately being against it because it's not controlling the flavor

F/SN Lancer doesn't open with his ultimate attack because they never do (DBZ don't either but they out parameter him too hard) and gets wiped out too hard in the opening exchange to use it.

Nearly turned me off the show it was so cringey to watch. You can argue that's intentional but I think you can execute this premise in a much less obnoxious way and lose nothing. In fact I know you can because I've seen indie films that work off this basic premise.

Also no Iron Lad or Tribunal which is a shame as they're my most wanted s5 cards

Loki is really fun. Instinctively the idea is to throw him in a deck that fills its own hand and then play your opponent's deck but I actually kinda think he might be best in a combo deck to hedge when it's clear you aren't getting your combo. I played both ways a bit (in a Hela MODOK deck for the combo) and the combo deck did better of the two but I'm not sure how much of that was actually Loki.

I'm saying they made me fall back on that argument in an attempt to discredit my judgment of Steinerstalker and Emeraldegg and the general idea that people need to chill and not hold grudges with board users.

They are not analogous situations at all. Bane has no presence in my headspace except when he directly interacts with me. Steiner pretty much doesn't either but he's topical now.

Bane fits in that 95% for me. That's all it meant. Ulti clearly doesnt for Steiner and Emerald Egg. A LOT of people clearly don't fit that for Steiner since apparently he's a serial harrasser of people he has beef with on the board/discord.

I don't think of you. I just think you're very bad at separating actions from actor. Hence why you took para's side when she was spreading lies about me for no reason and why you're taking Steiner's side now when he's basically doing all the bad things Ulti has done on a smaller scale.

At some point you need to mature and realize that sometimes your friends do shitty things and sometimes people you don't like are not unilaterally terrible people and be at peace with it.

I assume you mean the spotlight caches? Regardless, actual tokens=/=effective tokens so that's kinda irrelevant imo. And if I remember right, we're only losing out on like 300 gold compared to before the spotlight cache change. Whereas we're getting 90% less tokens than before. Yeah sure you can potentially get more s5 cards depending on many factors, but less tokens and less agency over what card you receive still hurts a ton.

I think if you have patience to wait for Spotlight Caches you want the system is fine. Effective tokens does matter because if you can spotlight cache things from s5 you want you save 6000 tokens each time. Right now I'm at 9000 tokens. If I actually bought Samurai and X-23 I would probably have less tokens than I do now even with the old token syste..

I'm a bit frustrated Iron Lad hasn't been in any spotlights I want yet but otherwise the system has treated me fine.

Good to know about the gold though. I was wondering why I wasn't feeling the squeeze on gold.

Steiner has talked to XIII about it (the charon situation, none of what I've been alluding to has been about the ZeroSig stuff) but the main thing is that steiner didn't tell charon to "self-delete" or whatever, he wasn't trying to say charon should off himself but in the heat of the moment it was reported as that way. Of course you can say "oh likely story" to that and can't really stop that but that is what it is.

The fact that he needed to chase Charon into smfffc to harass him on a discord thing is still extremely sad and the fact that you're trying to defend the behavior that could be remotely construed as telling a dude to off himself is sad too.

Mega buff to Blade, that is cool. But the corresponding nerf to Spider Ham doesn't feel good. There's no way you can know or control the order of cards in the opponent's hand, so it's still mostly random. The fact that higher costs tend to the left could make it interesting, but I dunno if it will work out that way.

Well Apocalypse always regenerates on the right side so position does matter more than you might think. These are very deliberate interactions with both Ham and Blade.

Token acquisition isn't really as bad as it seems with the collector caches making series 5s actually obtainable. Like I gained 12k worth of tokens on s5 cards from a pack of collector caches. In that sense I have way more effective tokens than I did before.

The gold hurts more than the tokens tbh.

It's less a coward move and more a "what the hell is wrong with you" move.

But sure let's just say Ulti is the only one with problems around here because it makes us feel better about ourselves.

I've been using him in Discard decks because I like the character a lot (Luca Claretti Blade was my first 1200 gold variant) but it has been rough justifying it

That extra control on the discard is gonna be huge

I kinda want to go for the Jeff variant (already have Jeff) because none of the upcoming packs look super interesting and Loki is a season pass (thought he was spotlight for some reason)

I'll probably go for the upcoming Ravonna Renslayer + Jean Grey one though.

Definitely if he's going off board to harass people that's pretty deranged in any case and shouldn't be "you don't know the whole story" situation-- it's just not acceptable. If you're saying Ulti outright made that up that's one thing but your response doesn't sound like that.

No idea what this is but I would not find it implausible that buried within Steiner is a early-mid 2000s era Ulti that hasn't pissed off the wrong people yet and if this isn't just Ulti spouting off nonsense deserves more attention.

The actual answer is the moderation was a mistake. It is allowed for a project runner to block other users from participating in the project they are running.

This is why I think the technicality of the moderation was mentioning Ulti by name in the opening post not the banning itself. But maybe I'm wrong

Ultimately the problem isn't that people are into a game but that claiming victories over board users (look how awesome I am I blocked/ignored them!!) is in their head space. Grow up. No one should need to use the block function-- if you're at peace ignore should be more than enough.

Anyway those are my two cents on this. We're not high schoolers anymore. No one on this board should mean that much to you in your leisure time here that you need to mention you ignored or blocked them, nor should you feel a need to block anyone. Break the cycle of negativity-- the more you feel need to explicitly mention people you don't like it just makes you feel bad. The person you're mentioning is unaware and does not care a damn about you.
