Alright so I'm not sure what I was expecting the Sultan flip, but PT cop wasn't it. But if I'm reading that role correctly then that's a role that I effectively scan 'guilty' to by virtue of having access to a private source of communication (my neighborhood). And if Corrik is being genuine (he still hasn't said otherwise and I've been pressing) then he is claiming to not only scan guilty to the PT Cop, but ALSO to scan guilty to a regular ass cop? I simply cannot believe that there would be a town role that would scan guilty to two different kinds of scanning roles, so to my mind he must be a scum neighbor who scans bad to the PT cop by virtue of having outside communication ability and scans bad to the regular cop (assuming there is one) to virtue of actually being bad.

I also want to address Plum saying that I wasn't making "Town posts" at the end of day 1, which is either terrible scum hunting as town, or just actually scum trying to make me dead. Leaning towards terrible scum hunting as town because scum in that spot should be happy to let the Sultan lynch go forward. The only caveat is if wallz is scum and if scum in that spot is still worried that wallz might end up going down. So I guess with that in mind I'm not going to prep a point by point reasoning for why plum was out of line since my primary read is that he's just mistaken town.

And that's the end of my prepared remarks. If you're reading this message then that means I survived the night, or it means one of my neighbors did me the favor of copy/pasting my remarks to let my final opinion be known. If alive though, I'm gonna be hanging out with family and watching the fresno state game for most of tonight and will either check in very late or sometime tomorrow.

I see Corrik is dead and confirmed town so that's a thing I guess. Can't deal with it now though.

The California high speed rail suffers from the problem of not being nearly ambitious enough. When you start by telling people it's going to take 15 years, it's hard for people to get excited about it.

Hard to be ambitious when you have opposition stating that the entire project needs to be scrapped at every turn. Like we've committed so much already we just need to all come together and agree that it needs to happen and make it the best version of itself possible. Instead it's a damn crawling uphill battle just to get a weak version to continue to move forward. It reminds me of how ACA got gutted just to be able to exist and then the same people who made it worse went on to argue it was bad for it's weaknesses that THEY created.

Crazy close games in the top 25 so far. I still have 6 hours to wait for my game though :(

They were conceptualized back in the 90s and voter-approved(With money appropriated) back in 2008.We still have basically nothing to show for it.

I still see construction pretty regularly, but it seems like they just want to finish the middle section and get it operational an then expand from there. Definitely taking a lot longer and costing a lot more than it should have. But it's also faced obstacles at every turn with the opposition forcing it to be less efficient by jumping through billions of hoops and then using the lack of efficiency as it's argument against despite having been responsible for a good amount it.

FD you're tied in the top lynch with 3 votes I think (if Death's last votals in #226 were accurate, that's what I'm going off of.) with no vote of your own down.

If you had to vote Wallz, Abacus, or Dumey, where are you voting? Or if all three of those sound bad to you, what direction do you want to go instead? We have less than an hour, and we shouldn't leave it to a last minute special with the amount of splinter votes we have.

Between me and anyone I'd vote anyone else.

I don't remember wallz seeming scummy, in fact I had him as my "protect" from his four man group, but I couldn't elaborate on that with much detail.

Abacus I don't have enough to read, but I just took my vote off from his explanation + claim. I still believe he deserves a day to start contributing.

Dumey I like if only because you're been vocal about the votes on me being trashy (especially BCTs)

I wouldn't mind miller-testing Corrik, but only if we get confirmation that he gets to stay in the neighborhood. If we get to confirm his alignment AND keep his perspective around that would be win/win. So not a fan of his lynch today

I think chang and I are just recognizing that we can't say for sure how the neighborhood is divided but we'd still like to express confidence in our own alignment.

He's been very insistent that he believes he's the only town in our neighborhood. Now if there IS only 1 town then it's me, but Corrik doesn't make it all that easy to communicate over there.

He's not "getting away" with anything. He wasn't here, he got pressured, he cited a real life excuse and provided a claim that's worth keeping around. If he doesn't bring some activity day 2 and doesn't get replaced then he'll be just as much on the chopping block.

Not sure we needed him, but maybe he'll earn a spot?

I'd like to think so, yeah. I weigh winning the game more than any grudge i'm carrying.

and by 'crap activity' I mean being actively scummy/sus. Not 'lacking in activity'.

I think the claim combined with the irl issues buys him a day. If it was the claim on top of a day of crap activity then I'd probably be down to follow through with the lynch, but not on the back of a ghost day.

Works for me. Either he falls over and it's confirmed or we might see the effects of the night actions.

I assume the irl issue is legit, I don't think anyone would fake that regardless of alignment. But seeing as it's regardless of alignment we've still got someone who is just as likely to be scum as anyone else and whose posts I can count on just my left hand.

That's why I'd rather just have the claim out immediately so we have a few hours to recalibrate.

There's a difference between 'at your own pace' and 'not playing at all'.

That's where my mind is at. How am I supposed to make any read on Abacus at all? This most recent post about having something come up irl is the only thing. But before that he had a post about rolling a physical dice and then became a ghost. I'm not saying saying there should be a specific post minimum, but if there was one it sure as hell should be higher than 1-2.

You never understood what I was getting at and that isn't my fault.

I know I'm town, I can't say the same about you or chang. I know that if I get killed people will be inclined to suspect my neighbors if only for the fact that we're neighbors and not masons. And I know that if I have a scum neighbor they might not want to be scrutinized after my flip. So, as town, it makes sense for me to want town to be able to locate that information after I'm gone. Because in a scenario where you're both scum you could just say nothing, or in a scenario where only 1 of you is scum it could be a situation where both of of the town neighbors die somehow and the remaining scum neighbor says nothing.

Your unwillingness to want to do the same bothered me because a town neighbor corrik should want his neighbors to be known for the same logic. You seemed content to just sit on it, even though you insisted that chang and I might both be scum. And he might be, but I'm not, so there is no situation where you are town corrik with two scum neighbors. It was just so illogical to me since it doesn't hurt town in any way and has the potential to hurt scum. Low upside, but no risk.

But enough about that, I wasn't crazy about how death handled his interrogation, but I'd still rather go after an inactive person today and set the tone that being fully inactive will not be permitted.

If BCT is town and has actually changed I think the positive growth deserves recognition, but Id like to hope BCT could forgive a little healthy skepticism.

Apparently not because when I followed up ulti's "pressure" (if you can call it that) with some actual heat of my own BCT reverted pretty quickly to business as usual.

Shows up, removes his vote and then plays his "woe is me" card even though he hasn't received any significant pressure today.

But if he's actually not posting any more until day 2 then I'm gonna be pretty unhappy with him. Hard not to see it as him trying to fly under the radar and not put himself in a position where he will have to continue to pretend to be this enlightened town version of himself.
