Yeah, this makes sense. I think it might be the case that native english speakers from the anglosphere countries are more used to seeing french phonemes get tossed around here and there so something like 'voir' is less likely to be tricky - we've seen and heard the term 'film noir' enough, for instance, to make that rhyming connection, or something like the french "voila!"

By a similar token of following the katakana, Bubble Lead in Mega Man 2 is , or Babu Ruriido, which means it's pronounced lead as in "to lead", not lead as in the element lead

Yeah, it's not even that Megamix is bad - it plays well, it has good remasterings of old games, it's got plenty of features, and the few new games it adds are mostly solid. But too much of its new content is easier versions of old games with unmemorable music, there aren't enough v2's of old games (and some of the ones they picked are dubious), and the remixes are subpar, so the overall selection of games ends up feeling not as robust as it ought to. I agree with Dels that Fever just has a tighter selection of games and remixes. It's still worth playing, but it falls short of being the definitive Rhythm Heaven it could've been.

I don't hate Megamix, but I do think it was kind of awkward and a huge missed opportunity to make the definitive Rhythm Heaven game

I never played Rhythm Heaven but I have no idea how they work just based on watching the gameplay. There's no GUI.

There's a tutorial before (almost) every Rhythm Heaven game that teaches you the rules; some are more visually obvious than others, and they all have feedback for when you miss, so if you watch a perfect run of Rhythm Heaven it kind of looks like nothing is happening sometimes. Generally speaking, there will be some player character/object on screen that is controlled by button presses at the right time, with the 'right time' being defined by each separate game - oftentimes it's a call and response thing.

Love Rap also just has really good gameplay, it feels really satisfying, Love Rap 2 especially

In theory, I really enjoy the mechanics of nervous tension and a well-crafted thrill, but in practice most horror doesn't do it for me, I'm either too jaded to find it spooky, or it gets under my skin too much to the point that I'm just not enjoying it

If you have a poll that asks people to pick a random number from 1-10, 7 will always win. Unless there is some kind of reason otherwise (like if picking the number 4 is a meme in the community, for example), 7 will win. It's simple as that. It will often win by a landslide.

There is no Charlotte in slot 7, so 6 won instead. (Psychologically, option 6 is closer to 7 than 8 is. It just is.)

These options are better

Not having one would be a strict dealbreaker

Just skip Ultra Despair Girls, don't play it. Do play DRV3 because it's good. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever to play UDG.

It sucks that Dropmix is being taken down too, it was fun. I really hate stuff that works on a service like that that can just shut down whenever

Technical Fixes and Adjustments from the Original Releases
The games included in this collection are based on the Japanese versions of each game, and the code had to be re-written as a result. So, for this collection, the English versions will have content equivalent to the Japanese versions of each game. Of course, the development team also made some adjustments that have been implemented! Director Eguchi shared some notes about the music that plays after you reach the ending of Mega Man Battle Network 6:
After finishing the game, when you select the Continue option, the tense music from the games ending kept playing. Weve corrected this so that when you continue immediately after finishing the game, the normal music is played instead.

I enjoyed your playthrough! Like Dels said, I wasn't bothered by the ending but I get your complaints (although actually seeing the epilogue at the end helps a bit).

Yeah the GotG game is great, I felt the combat was repetitive but I felt that otherwise they did an excellent job of capturing the feeling of the GotG movies in a video game, without retreading anything from the movies themselves (since it's not the same canon as the MCU)
