Apparently there's also some objectionable content in the main story in Kenzan that they'd have to "update" for modern/worldwide sensibilities. Black Panther is probably doomed to obscurity on the PSP, but if we got... anything for it, it'd probably be a two-pack release. Dead Souls. If we're going to get anything Dead Souls, then I'd much prefer we got Dead Souls 2 or the "alien invasion" game that Dead Souls was in early planning stages. I want a wacky madcap shooting game with many of the characters we've now come to love from the ground up rather than trying to salvage Dead Souls, which has a lot of gameplay and control issues. --- CyricZ He/him |

Trust me, I'm not blind to the idea that people think me too insensitive, nor do I have zero care for how this case made people feel. We all feel similarly in reaction to hearing what this woman did. I gambled that posting my message (the same message I always post) in this topic specifically would likely get some serious blowback, particularly since I was able to snag Post #2, which was a matter of sheer luck. Yet what I'm being asked to do is to have a care for people who would wish to prop up a broken system simply because they feel angry and vengeful, feelings that they dress up as "justice", allowing them to engage their baser instincts for some empty catharsis. This is one issue I don't budge on, and I reject the idea that "the answer" is to have the opportunity to say something, yet say nothing. To let the vengeful people have this one. Y'know, as a treat. If someone were to say "Because you weren't nice to me, I will now be for the death penalty forever, just to spite you", then I think that was worth getting that out of them. To see who they really are. Imagine if this woman were to commit this crime in a state in the US that had abolished the death penalty and ask yourself: would you be willing to declare yourself opposed to those in your state who would wish to demand their politicians reinstate the death penalty for that person alone? Or would you sit back and not get involved out of respect for their feelings? --- CyricZ He/him |
