Better is a matter of taste of course, but Hojicha has a smoky flavor, which to me is almost like Darjeeling - which as you know is a black tea. Deep flavor, yet it's still a green tea. The smell fills the room (and my office) almost like an incense. The roasting process also reduces the caffeine. Very popular iced in summer. Created by accident in Japan by some guy who left a pot of tea on too long. Maeda-En seems to have perfected it IMO.
