Glob and doom implied that people upset were intentionally misunderstanding the law. I feel I read and understand the intent of the law and still think ten years is too big for there to be discretion. I also think a 14 year old with a 19 is not okay and should have no discretion for if they register.

If someone thinks there should be discretion for those cases then they believe there could exist a situation in which that is not terrible and disgusting enough to have someone register as a sex offender

I was gonna say I thought those posts were more targeted towards people misinterpreting the law, not simply those who disagreed with it.

For what it's worth, I think a 3 year age gap would be appropriate (4 would be pushing it). The worst case scenario you'd get is a 15 year old with an 18 year old.

Republicans basically take the absolute worst case scenario of something potentially being abused or misused and use it as justification to shut it down entirely.

Doesn't matter if this scenario is extremely unlikely to happen and it doesn't matter if there's a million more cases where that "something" can prove beneficial to the country's socioeconomic well-being. If there's even a <1% chance of something bad happening under a certain law, policy or initiative, then it's reason enough to not support it.

Exactly. The best way to look at it is like when the Power Rangers do a morphing sequence. The audience sees a long, overly elaborate morphing sequence that a villain can easily interrupt, but in-universe, it's probably just an instantaneous transformation. All the other shit is just fluff for the people watching the show.

This is just a more extreme example of a show intentionally creating a discrepancy between what the audience sees and what the characters actually experience.

It's not really a superpower, at least canonically-speaking.

The way I see it from both the show and the comics, it's more like there's She-Hulk the actor and then there's She-Hulk the character, played by She-Hulk the actor.

The actor has the ability to talk directly to the audience, go into the writers' room and influence the script, jump out of comic panels, etc., but it's not like the actual character is meant to be a reality warper. Like for instance, when it comes to crossovers, I'm pretty sure she won't just have the ability to revive dead characters. She still has to abide by the rules of the actual universe when interacting with the other characters.

The stuff with ToddHulk and all that shit wasn't reality being warped or whatever, it just never actually happened.

Yeah, there's definitely some games where the post-game content is just as crucial as the main story. Persona 5 Royal is sort of setup like this, where there's an established A-plot, but then the technical "post-game" content revolves around resolving the B-plot. Like an extended epilogue of sorts.

To play devil's advocate, they probably figured it was easier to recast a supporting role played by an actor who was already up there in age, versus a franchise lead played by an actor in the prime of his career.

I like this theory I just saw on a Marvel forum.

That Thunderbolts would be setup like The Suicide Squad, and the roster that was initially revealed (the one with Bucky, Ghost, Red Guardian, etc.,) would be mind-controlled by The Leader, and we'd actually get a second Thunderbolts squad led by Red Hulk and with Zemo as co-captain (since he has experience fighting super soldiers).

I'm thinking they had BIG plans for Thunderbolt Ross in the future, since his appearances in the MCU have been very sparse up to this point.

I'll also say the game does a really good job of getting you invested in the Confidants to the point where you'll naturally wanna hang out with them to get more of their story and help them resolve their problems.

I didn't really pick this game up for the social sim aspects, but it's one of the things I ended up really liking about the game.

The black community's got almost no sense of unity or brother/sisterhood past the immediate moment unless it directly benefits themselves.

There are exceptions of course, but if you've ever followed the black communities history or movement leaders comments on the community (Such as Martin Luther King), they've all expressed some degree of frustration at that aspect of said community.

It's why after an initial outrage, most of the people upset at black struggles are white people. The community as a whole will vocally get upset, but when they see the effort to make a change all you get is, "Fuck that, too much work."
