Modern unions are a scam meant to steal money from the workers

That's pretty much entirely because of the lack of laws to protect them, which creates a corrupt two-tiered system in which only some workers get to join unions and the rest are left unprotected. Even then, that's only true of a relatively small number of industries, despite what the corporate propaganda you're deep throating would have you believe.

The only thing you need to know to know that unions are a good thing is that the corporations that treat their workers worst are deathly afraid of them. Those corporations will do everything to screw you over that they can possibly get away with, so if they're busting unions, you can very safely presume that's a bad thing.

Meanwhile the same guys who in 2015 and 2016 were claiming Trump would let Putin take over all of Ukraine if he got in office are repeating those same falsehoods today when the invasions happened under the other guys.

It's almost like Putin has scheduled his invasions whenever it will make the presidents he doesn't like look bad. Of course, that would be a stretch unless there were other evidence that he'd gone to considerable lengths to manipulate the American election process to favour Trump, so I guess it's a good thing that's never come to light, eh?

I feel like sticking with one character is not bad here since they can all switch classes, anyway. Though, it might start making more of a difference later when I can start building string characters using stuff from multiple classes

Yeah, eventually you'll get to the point where everybody has every class maxed out and you can do whatever you want (there are minor stat differences between characters if you really want to min/max, and the original six classes will eventually get a sizable attack buff if you use them on their original users, but it doesn't really matter who is what for the most part), but until then you'll probably find yourself either focusing certain characters on classes that help them fill certain roles more effectively, or focusing them on classes with the highest aptitude so they level them up faster (which is what I did).

I will give you one piece of very important class advice that you probably won't understand for a short while: make sure that if you have Noah as a Yumsmith at the end of chapter 5, you change him to a different costume before finishing the chapter. Just trust me on this.

LinkPizza posted...
Yeah. I think most of the tutorials came pretty early. It was just weird when theyd tell me how to do something, and then force me to do it before I could do anything else. Like buying and equipping accessories when I wanted to buy more. Or changing every characters class, adding a skill, and adding a sub art or something For all six characters And telling me to to do it for each character one at a time That was awful

Yeah, that should all be done now. You might get one more for the Ouroboros skill trees when they open up, but otherwise the only remaining major mechanic is Chain Attacks, and they don't have such an in-depth tutorial (though they're pretty confusing and you might actually want more direction).

Indeed. If nobody's able to access any of their digital wealth, society isn't suddenly going to start worshipping the people that still have cash. They're going to prioritize restoring that infrastructure and probably barter some of their physical assets in the mean time.

ReturnOfFa posted...
It definitely is the most private option, but it doesn't mean it isn't traceable...

While true, tracing somebody's cash transactions usually requires specifically investigating them and relying on other methods of surveillance, such as cameras, tracking their phone, or using other identifying information the vendor might collect (which a privacy-obsessed person probably wouldn't give). By comparison, it's pretty easy for the police to just get a warrant and ask a bank for your transaction history. Hiding from people that are specifically hunting you is always going to be hard, but hiding from people that are just mildly interested in finding you but will give up if it's too difficult is fairly easy.

There is the point that that's where the tracking and dependency on outside systems ends. Your cash withdrawal is recorded, but after that there's no record of what you buy with the cash, making it the most private option. There's also a number of people who refuse to use banks altogether and just store all of their money themselves as cash, but that's obviously an extreme case.

The only one that's potentially a legitimate concern is the privacy one, which is buried at the bottom of a list of nonsense.

As Wolfy suggested, maybe also tell him that every conversation you have with him in the future will either be need to be in writing or will be recorded to be used as evidence against him, which may not be a legal requirement, but should at least make it clear that he's on very thin ice.

Surely you've had instances when renting where you left the property for whatever reason and a visitor stayed behind. It's not that unusual, nor is it really a problem at any intrinsic level. Having a live-in landlord doesn't (or at least shouldn't) change that.

Now, it sounds like said visitor is becoming a permanent fixture and the tenant is committing other violations, which is beyond what's reasonable and may justify evicting him. But don't let your desire to have your tenant gone extend to trying to prevent him from enjoying his time in his home (which, until the end of the lease, is what your house is). That's just petty. Specific violations of the lease are the only things you have any right to correct, no matter how frustrating the arrangement is.

And even though the flame clock thing in the eye is gone (is Ouroboros now), I have no idea what its original purpose was (gameplay wise)

If you let it get low enough, your whole party will suffer an Attack Down debuff until you can raise it back up. Letting it get that low pretty much requires you to have the whole party die a couple dozen times, though, so it's not something you're likely to encounter naturally. The mechanic pretty much just exists so the Flame Clock isn't relegated to being entirely a story gimmick, which is a nice touch for making the game feel more fleshed out and consistent, but ultimately has pretty much zero impact on the game.

It's perhaps a bit early to tell since I put it down relatively recently (after ~200 hours and just straight up running out of content, though I want more and I'm quite hyped for whatever the DLC brings), but I think it's managed to beat out #1 as my favourite in the series and one of my favourite games ever.

LinkPizza posted...
Also, did you guys play with one character more than the others. Or did you switch a lot. Ive been playing as Noah a lot. But I think I might start trying the other characters more

For the most part, I stuck to Noah and just cycled him through different classes as I maxed them out, occasionally popping over to Mio if the one she was working on interested me more. For late-game farming, I generally controlled Sena for more reliable Breaks (the Break-Topple-Daze-Burst combo is very useful for farming and Ogre has a skill that reduce Break resistance by a large margin, which makes those combos more reliable) and played as Mio as either Zephyr or Guardian Commander for the superbosses because controlling the tank for harder fights tends to be the best way to keep them under control, but you've got a long way to go before that becomes relevant.

LinkPizza posted...
Also, I dont want to turn off the tutorial since I dont want to miss anything But I do think its a bad system, tbh And slow, at times To much forces stuff going on with it

The tutorials ease up pretty quickly (unlike 2, you get most of the important mechanics pretty early), but if you're finding them too frequent or to be stating things that are annoyingly obvious, you do have the option to review them later in the System menu, so you can turn them off and just read them as needed on your own terms.

Unless the lease agreement explicitly prohibits visitors (or outlines conditions under which they're allowed/disallowed), then they are entitled to have them, whether you like it or not. That's probably actually a significant part of the reasoning behind the pardon. The GOP now has two options:
  • Condemn the pardon and vow to do whatever they can to reverse it if they take power in the midterms
  • Don't take a stance on the pardon

If they choose the first, they're going to alienate GOP voters that have or do smoke pot and enjoyed a brief taste of not being criminalized for it, inevitably resulting in some of them jumping ship because they've finally realized how much voting Republican actually hurts them. If they choose the second, they're unlikely to push anyone to vote D, but they are going to piss off their voter base that sees this as a moral failure, quite possibly to the point of discouraging them from voting at all. Either way, it's an easy win for the Demcorats.

They are displayed, not used.

The two are hardly mutually exclusive, as demonstrated by the event about which this topic is speaking. Sometimes, exhibiting artifacts can involve demonstrating their intended use, or sometimes even letting the public use them. Other times, that's not an option because the intended use is obsolete/dangerous or the artifact is too fragile.

I can't think of any that have made me actually cry, but all three main Xenoblade games have had their moments that had me pretty close, with 3 being the clear winner (half the soundtrack triggers enough sad memories to threaten tears, even without the context).
