Quality of life is getting worse as basic necessities continue to cut larger chunks into peoples' budgets while salaries aren't keeping up with inflation. There seems to be no political interest in improving our infrastructure or even really maintaining what he already have. We're currently hyper focused on social issues and ignoring worsening financial ones. The dollar continues getting weaker. MisterPengy posted... I'm kind of optimistic that with the internet, Zoomers will see and understand who is causing all this garbage, and be angry enough to turn up and vote them out. As boomers start to die out, the "values" that have led us to this will be less common. As we're already seeing in places like Texas, the government in charge is subverting democracy to retain power. Doctors that were interviewed basically said they were afraid to give care and advice to women because sometimes an abortion is the only course of action and that could be viewed as assisting the patient having an abortion. That was the reason I gave when I initially cancelled the service. For about a month after that I got multiple calls per week asking why I cancelled. Each time I told them because they didn't even provide service in the state I'm moving to. It actually wasn't a bad job they were good about break times and the pay was more than minimum wage and there were benefits and upward mobility.
