• dont say gay bill
• dont say (female) period bill
• law criminalizing giving a Uber ride, taxi ride or life saving ER care to Hispanics errr I mean illegal immigrants (as if US citizens walked around with their passports)
• book bans

Tennessee:

• expelled 2 lawmakers for being black
• they got reinstated
• audio leaks, the red lawmakers were being clowns, as expected

Missouri:

• literally closed libraries. Literally.

Texas:

• Abbot wants to pardon. Notoriously racist murdered who sent text messages saying he was going to a protest to shoot people and run over them
• giant explosions resulting in massive cow BBQs because their fairy farms are unregulated as fuck

what am I missing? Feel free to add to the list. And remember, somehow, they feel good about making gains in 2024

Were those meat packing facilities that employed children and lobbied the government to make legal were in a red state ?

Idaho:

• Cannot assist a minor getting an abortion without parental consent (the "abortion trafficking" law)
• Banned companies from requiring employees to be vaccinated
• Made it a felony for doctors to provide gender-affirming care for minors
• Public schools will be required to maintain bathrooms and changing rooms on the basis of biological sex assigned at birth
• Firing squad is now an accepted alternative to lethal injection for death sentences in the event the injection drugs are not available
• Rejected bill to provide free feminine care products in public schools
• Legislature passed a bill restricting "offensive" content in libraries (Governor vetoed it)

This is all since January and doesn't include the crazier shit that was introduced (banning mRNA vaccines entirely, repeal of existing ban on private militias/paramilitary groups)

Florida: Six-week abortion ban.

Missouri: AG banned all gender affirming care for trans people unless you fall under strict provisions and are banned if you're on the spectrum or depressed.

Kansas

• Tried to ban abortion after the state voted almost 2 to 1 to keep it
• No medical marijuana because a few sheriffs testified it would be bad
• Various transgender bans
• Income tax changed to a flat tax that provides a tax cut to the rich and increases taxes on the poor

I think a couple of maternity wards closed in Idaho as well.

Yeah 2 hospitals in rural areas closed due to a mix of lack of staffing and fear of liability due to the restrictive abortion laws. Doctors that were interviewed basically said they were afraid to give care and advice to women because sometimes an abortion is the only course of action and that could be viewed as assisting the patient having an abortion.

There are many OB-GYNs that are actively trying to leave the state.

Let's not forget Ohio.

Had a 10 year old have to flee for an abortion. Simultaneously loosening gun regulations and tightening voting restrictions low key. Handwringing over tightening regulations after a train wreck so bad they're still trying to figure out the damage months later.
