i feel like in general devs have moved away from cool easter eggs and stuff in favor of pumping out the latest derivative drivel that their publisher is forcing them to do. Like you can go back to an old game and theres just a certain charm it has, and then you go to a modern game and it just *feels* like everything else that comes out.

I feel good about what I did and how it turned out. There's a really scummer layer of people and media business that have exposed themselves unfortunately. I keep getting calls weeks later trying to do interviews or come in and tell my "heroic" story. It feels disingenuous, it's hard to explain. It feels more like they want a ten minute movie plot they can tell rather than caring about what happened. I get a lot of comments about how I missed out on getting a reward or I should have asked the family for compensation. These aren't people I'm close with that make the comments but it's disgusting there are so many people that look at the situation as a possible paycheck.

I don't think telling the story is inherently evil. Like the other guy said it could encourage other people to speak up if they see something out of place and prevent other dangerous situations from happening. You should ask the family what they want because ultimately it should be up to them whether it's talked about or not.

count your blessings that you have had such a sheltered life. If you have a solid door and your windows aren't easily accessed you can rest easy. Most people trying to break in to a house don't really have tools for the job and get in through stuff like spare keys, windows, etc..

I don't think we can take another ballooning game size leap. I saw Mass Effect legendary edition takes up 120 gigs on steam and i removed it from my cart. Don't have that room to spare on steam deck.

Unless you use a slow HDD, the realm of large capacity SSDs is largely(excuse the pun) too expensive to keep up. Even a 2TB SSD which still costs like $150+ for a name brand one, won't last you too long. If you download GTA V and RDR2 and COD MW2 thats already like a third of the storage taken up lol
