well it's pretty clear that this test is not particularly concerned about colloquialisms, regional phrases, or even any reatively recent terms. I don't want to say it's "literary" vocab since that doesn't sound quite right either but a lot of the words here are things I could basically never imagine people actually using when talking but I know because I've read books that have them

not like you really need a gigantic vocabulary for everyday use anyway. I'm pretty sure the only time I'd ever use "abscond" would be to specifically make humour out of the obscurity of the word choice rather than for its actual meaning

I feel like there are some relatively close substitutes for burgers, like sandwiches, but nothing really fills this spot for pizza

Nightbot blocks chat spam better than whatever the fuck Cover seems to be using. So manual antis and bots can both be handled way better than what they're doing right now. Mostly learned a lot of what Cover really isn't doing enough from the recent LoL tourney.

well yeah this is true. but considering that a non-significant amount of the abuse was on platforms like twitter as well I think it's important for vox to kinda put his foot down here instead of solely relying on improving chat tools.

also I kinda doubt cover has any sort of automated chatting moderation beyond whatever just comes default with youtub

well even then it was all part of the same plot. I had in mind them being two totally unrelated events

I remember one of my theories before getting too far into the investigation was that tenko killed angie then someone else killed tenko. so the "trick" was that you'd think you're trying to find something that connects the two murders to the same person but that's just not how it worked at all

the other thing I remember predicting was it being a double murder chapter even before the 2nd murder happened

messing up the spot pattern isn't really a reason you'd be unable to transfer? like, wouldn't it just mean that the spindas look different after transfer? or did they realize this, and decide they'd rather block trade all together rather than either fix it or have transforming spindas

I'm not even sure what the big deal is, they were definitely in High School during the first game and nobody cared then lol.

steam has gotten more and more restrictive with this type of thing in recent years and I wouldn't be super surprised if the same is happening on the console side

it's not really about the controls being bad usually, it's that you take something that is fast paced and probably has a lot of cool jumps an special moves an dwhatnot and repace it with a mode in which you move more slowly, you generally are not affected by gravity in any significant way, and your action set shrinks drastically

basically they tend to take all the platforming out of platformers

I feel like a lot of stuff revealed in Ch 6 is of the "this is why this thing you love is actually super messed up" category

well yeah but even then I think there's a pretty big line between "I like this series so much I am willing to potentially die for it" and "I like this series I am willing to sentence a random completely unaware person to death and get absolutely nothing out of it myself"

Yeah. I always figured that after the first few, the rest all took place in a VR world. Hence why some of the executions we very wild. Like the one where Kiyo turns into a ghost, and then is tortured even more. Or how Kaede is strangled for hours and hours. Or how Kirumi thought a piece of paper was an exit...

I kinda categorized these in my mind as fancy special effects, and the whole thing actually just does happen in the normal world. not like there aren't plenty of other pieces of crazy tech in the game

one thing I find particularly strange to think about is how the chracters manage to be both willing and reluctant. As members of the normal populace, they were all super obsessed with the series and not just willing to participate but being intense enough about it to win out over many others at an audition. Despite knowing it would involve killing lots of people and probably dying themselves. But then after the memory wipe they have no knowledge of this, so they are essentially in a bad situation that they put themselves in, excecpt it wasn't actually them it was someone else entirely (but it was them)

and the "original" people don't really even get their wish granted out of the whole deal either because for the entire process of the game they wanted to join so much, they don't even exist as a person. actually super messed up when you think about it

you list a bunch of ways in which this could work but I don't see what makes this better than just focusing on the guns? like, is it just being different to be different or isthere a point to it

I think most of the mandatory lies are extremely obviously telegraphed. I never found any of the optional ones and have abbsolutely no idea where any could be even after finishing the whole trial

it's been a long time since I actually bought a book. the last book I read though was solaris, I was pretty disappointed with it and then learned afterwards that the translation I'd read was panned by basically everyone, incluing the author, and there was a much better more modern one

I don't watch movies very often, I'm not particularly concerned about not being able to view older stuff since if anything there was a must-watch for me I'd probably have already watched it. but I can imagine a new movie coming out and friends wanting to go see it together and it would be nice to be able to join them

maybe if it ran at like 5x speed it would be bearable but no I don't want to spend 5 minutes driving down a nearly featureless road to answer 3 extremely basic yes or no questions

Basically the moment I saw the corpse in this trial I was sure I knew what happened, and it turned out I was about 95% right (I thought it was an accident, not intentional, but had every other thing correct)

then somehow the process of investigating for clues made my theories get worse instead of better...

I have extremely low tolerance for spicy food

generally anything I've found that's not spicy, I have liked. but more than any other cuisine I've tried, indian seems to have the most potential for some random unassuming looking food actually disintegrating your tongue the moment you put some in your mouth

hades was like this for me when I first played it for like 2-3 weeks or so and then it suddenly and instantly went from unable to stop playing -> don't really care about at all. game gets more and more same-y the more you play imo

nothing fits this description for me atm, I've been very into don't starve together recently but since I'm playing with friends we have to line up schedules and it means I can't do the nonstop playing you could do in a singlle player game

Iroha from HoloX actually reminds me quite a bit of Sora

iroha is an extremely early-era fan of sora, there's a minecraft collab from the two of them back when iroha was still quite new and it's funny how flustered she gets

but yeah I think sora was always presented as more about the singing than the streaming, and while hololive still does concerts and stuff sometimes it's pretty clear which one won out as more significant overall. she doesn't stream that much and when she does I guess it's just not what she's really known for so the amount of people paying attention is lower
