damn ok i'm kinda shocked how drastic the shifts are here throughout the whole thing. can't believe basically all my noms and favourites got effectively nerfed from being high tier songs capable of doubling opponents (how??? seriously cmyk and ironia would've apparently just been scary strong) to narrowly winning by a modest amount of votes if that thanks to newer community members. that said, prime could've never been so close otherwise so I consider this a worthwhile sacrifice lol

fortunately not nearly as into this 13s song (half of it is still scary good but some of it is just a miss for me). still would've easily got my vote against the rest to no real surprise

frankly surprised i didn't get wiped r1 (nearly 100% through and considering the remainders were bi and prime i consider this a best case scenario. generally not very convincing wins so i don't think i've got any due for retirement but i definitely can't complain)

great day, yet still the calm before the storm

still think it's unfortunate that the last minute of final song was supposed to facilitate the dialogue exchange at the end and basically all the decent enough links with the dialogue left there are gone now i think. still doesn't work as well for me without it there

neither is exactly perfect but both jedah and flan's themes still have character to them. respectable match, i have plenty of nostalgia for each of them (even if one of them i unfortunately can't unassociate from ronald mcdonald now for that reason)

speaking of nostalgia, i didn't get a wii until 2010 but i was still a fan of galaxy thanks to the lms method of watching LPs instead lmao. adored the soundtrack to the point like many to the point it was probably my favourite vg ost, so i can confidently say i had some opinions on it 14 years ago. back then gusty garden was my 2nd favourite galaxy song (this is speculative but if i'd made a top 10 it'd have been something like 1.battlerock, 2.gusty garden, 3.star festival+variations, 4.buoy base, 5.catastrophe, 6.space junk, 7.observatory themes, 8.airship, 9.credits and 10.good egg probably)

... now, my preferences are a lot more all over the place with the soundtrack as a whole, i think i'd still have it close to battlerock if i did a ranking but neither would be nearly that high probably... still think they're good though. one thing i do have to say hasn't changed though, having now refreshed myself on the soundtrack back then it was my favourite mainline mario soundtrack to date and i think that may still be the case. anyway opoona better lol (honestly, there are a decent number of galaxy songs i would vote for here, it's just unfortunately not any of the big orchestral ones any more)

kirbo still too strong, shard didn't deserve this fate. whatever happens it's still the best mirror's edge song that's been in and i liked still alive

i hadn't really thought about it until now, how pmd flow is
when i did ratings i think i didn't rate dance highly mostly because it doesn't really stand out as far as anime vocal music goes for me, but otherwise i think it's very solid. definitely caught my attention this time, especially when it started. still kinda just wish it wasn't just a standard anime song ultimately
