Assuming it was possible, when a person turns, how do we know if the person they used to be (usually referred to as a ''soul'') isn't trapped inside? Similar to how when a person is in a coma? What I mean is, what if they are still shackled to their formal corpse, until someone frees them by damaging/destroying the brain? To make that horrible thought even worse, what if even the slightest part of that person, despite clearly not being in control at all, is still aware? Before anyone says no way that could happen, the record for bringing someone back to life is around 17 hours.
