When that perfect little film that you've never seen or heard of comes on TV, starring your favorite actors or actresses, it's such a magical experience. Nothing quite like it. If you're looking for "more of the same, but different". There's some real life-changing experiences to be had for some people, especially for some of us (perhaps most of us) since these old movies and shows formed a huge chunk of our early thinking and personalities as children, when we watched them in our early years absorbing every little detail we could, and bounced those ideas around against what we saw in other media, or at home, in our neighborhoods, and at school, to form some idea of the new & exciting world around us, and also to understand who we are, who we want to be, who are parents are, and what it means to have friends, and what life can offer, and so on. |
