I mean, Musashi is becoming active like 35-40ish years or so after the plots of the games. So if this is just an original story using the oni vs genma war/oni gauntlet motiff without any of the original characters, thats a bit meh.

The whole concept is very much warring states and would feel weird supplanted into the Edo period.
